Destination NSW has released new market research on Australian and Chinese travellers.
Developed in partnership with global research agency Kantar TNS, the ‘Domesticate 2017 Snapshots’ look at the mind-sets, attitudes and motivations for travel.
The findings show that Chinese visitors are becoming more experimental – enjoying spontaneity, adventure and flexibility – while Australians are seeking to leave their worries behind with rejuvenating experiences.
Regional travel is also popular with around 40 per cent of Chinese survey respondents and 43 per cent of Australians indicating they were considering a holiday in regional NSW in the next 12 months.
