Asia Pacific’s Creative Pulse: The Spikes Asia 2025 Winners Set a New Standard

The Spikes Asia 2025
Where Ideas Shine Brightest

Every year, Spikes Asia showcases the most innovative, thought-provoking, and culture-shaping work from across the Asia Pacific region. Now, the winners of Spikes Asia 2025 have been revealed—and they offer a fascinating glimpse into the future of creativity. From bold storytelling to game-changing campaigns, this year’s honorees have not only raised the bar but redefined it.

Whether you're a traveler, a creative, or a culture enthusiast, these winners reflect the energy, diversity, and imagination of a region constantly in motion.

Australia and India Lead the Creative Charge

Topping the charts this year, both Australia and India claimed five Grands Prix each, cementing their status as creative powerhouses. These awards spanned across categories like Film, Digital Craft, and Outdoor, and highlighted both countries' ability to blend deep cultural insight with innovative execution.

From purpose-driven branding to viral social media moments, their work exemplifies how storytelling in the Asia Pacific is both rooted in tradition and forward-facing.

Kazakhstan’s Historic Breakthrough

One of the most exciting moments of Spikes Asia 2025 came from Kazakhstan. The country took home its first-ever Grand Prix in the Media Spikes category with GForce’s clever campaign, ‘The National Sport of Kazakhstan’. It also scored another in the Music Spikes with the emotionally resonant ‘Aidakhar’ campaign for Old Spice by NOTO Agency and Procter & Gamble.

These wins signal the emergence of Central Asian creativity on a global stage, bringing fresh perspectives and untapped cultural narratives into the spotlight.

Singapore’s Double Victory with Vaseline

Singapore also had a standout year with Ogilvy’s ‘Transition Body Lotion’ for Vaseline, which captured two Grands Prix in the Glass: Award for Change and Social & Influencer categories. The campaign championed inclusivity and identity in a way that resonated powerfully with both the jury and the public.

It served as a reminder that creative work can not only inspire but also drive change and challenge outdated norms.

A Showcase of APAC’s Cultural Tapestry

Spikes Asia is more than an award show—it’s a celebration of cultural expression and creative risk-taking. From heritage-rich stories to high-tech brilliance, the winning campaigns reflect the complexity and beauty of life in the Asia Pacific.

If you’re planning a trip across the region, consider making time for local art museums, ad festivals, and design districts. They’re not just places of inspiration—they’re where the future of global creativity is being written.

FlyArystan achieves 91% on-time performance in 2020

The global OTP benchmark for airlines is that 85% of flights should depart on-time. OTP calculations must include all delays and is an indication of how reliable an airline is on delivering on its commitment to when a flight will depart. FlyArystan makes no exceptions for bad weather, air traffic control, delays from suppliers or any other issues.

FlyArystan, Kazakhstan’s Low Fare Airline recorded another strong on-time performance (OTP) result for December 2020, with 85% of flights departing on time. For the whole of 2020 FlyArystan achieved 91% OTP.

“In 2020, FlyArystan flew 9814 flights carrying 1.5 million passengers, with 8930 of those flights being on-time,” said Director of Flight Operations, Captain Berdykhan Agmurov. “The onset of winter flying did hamper us in December, with weather conditions at some airports preventing us from flying. We do not make any special allowance for winter conditions, with the OTP result achieved for December reflecting the challenging conditions faced during winter storms. The entire airline places a huge effort into delivering a reliable service to our customers. They can book with confidence knowing that FlyArystan is the on-time airline.”

FlyArystan carried 1.5 million passengers in 2020

In 2020, FlyArystan increased the number of aircraft in its fleet from four Airbus A320s in January to seven aircraft in December.

FlyArystan, Kazakhstan’s Low-Cost Airline, carried 1.5 million passengers in 2020. Against the backdrop of a global aviation recession, FlyArystan continued to deliver standout growth, while meeting its ambitions to offer low fares in the Kazakhstan market. Since its operations began in May 2019, FlyArystan has carried over 2.2 million passengers and expects to carry over 3m passengers in 2021.

The milestone of 1.5 million passengers carried by Kazakhstan’s only LCC was achieved in 10 months of flying due to two months of flight suspension because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Over half of the seats sold were at prices below 10,000 Tenge (US$24) for a one-way flight. The average load factor during the year was over 85%, while on-time performance exceeded 90%. FlyArystan expanded its destination count and now serves 28 routes to 14 cities in Kazakhstan.

In 2020, FlyArystan increased the number of aircraft in its fleet from four Airbus A320s in January to seven aircraft in December. FlyArystan will take three more aircraft in the first half of 2021 to grow the fleet to 10 A320s. In addition to the existing routes from bases in Almaty, Nur-Sultan and Atyrau, FlyArystan has invested in the development of regional flights. Therefore, in 2021, FlyArystan plans to launch new routes from Shymkent and Aktau.

In 2021, FlyArystan will build on its impressive growth by launching more than 14 new routes, continue to reduce fares and deliver industry leading on-time performance. A remarkable achievement from an airline that has been operating for less than 2 years.
