Vietnam - An ideal and safe tourist destination

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the four walls around you are probably causing you an added stress. Surely you are eagerly looking forward to traveling? The world still has a potential risk of coronavirus outbreak, so where is the ideal and safe tourist destination to travel after Covid-19?

Vietnam is one of the few countries in the world that effectively implements COVID-19 prevention and control. Therefore, Vietnam has been named among 17 must-go destinations in the world after the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the famous American travel magazine Travel and Leisure. The country has made significant efforts to contain the pandemic and secure the safety of both inhabitants and visitors in order to recover the tourism industry. As a result, Vietnam deserves to be a safe and great place to enjoy your next holiday.

With the motto "Vietnam - Timeless charm" and the image of a graceful 5-petal lotus flower, it has demonstrated the characteristics of Vietnamese tourism as well as the beauty of the Vietnamese people. Each petal's color represents our tourism products, Vietnam’s beauty, and the souls of its people.

The first is blue - the primary color representing sea and island tourism which is one of Vietnam's main tourism products. With a coastline of over 3,260 kilometers and over 3,000 islands, white sand beaches, unspoiled bays, and lush tropical islands all year round, we are proud that Forbes magazine named Da Nang beach as one of the six most beautiful beaches in the world. Furthermore, Vietnam is one of the 12 countries with the most beautiful bays in the world. For example, HaLong Bay has been recognised twice as a World Natural Heritage by UNESCO.

The next color is green, which represents nature and ecotourism. Vietnam has a plethora of nature reserves, national parks, and forbidden forests. For example, Ha Long Bay, Ba Be Lake, Phong Nha Cave, Cuc Phuong National Park, and Van Long Nature Reserve are the country's natural heritages and the well-known eco-tourism destinations in Vietnam. In addition, there are 11 biosphere reserves in Vietnam that have been designated by UNESCO as world biosphere reserves. This demonstrates Vietnam's efforts in nature conservation and sustainable development to protect the environment, thereby contributing to the global common sustainable development effort.

The yellow and orange colors represent cultural and historical tourism. With a long history spanning thousands of years and 54 ethnic groups with the different customs and habits living together in harmony, Vietnamese culture has both diversity and unity. Wet rice cultivation, architecture, spiritual culture, festivals, cuisine, etc, are always our strong points, a particular draw for all tourists who visit Vietnam.

The color pink symbolizes the dynamism and hospitality of Vietnamese people. It is not by chance that Vietnam is among the happiest countries in the world. Vietnamese people are always loved by international friends because of their enthusiasm and friendliness. When traveling there, you'll always be greeted with their amiable smiles. Especially if you spend time in Vietnam during festivals, you can be treated to delicious food by the people, partying until late at night. This is what Vietnamese people always make a good impression on international tourists.

Famous for its sublime natural landscapes, long coastline, green rice terraces in Sapa or white sand beaches in Phu Quoc, Vietnam is the leading destination in Southeast Asia for adventure and discovery tourism represented by the purple color. If you love to explore caves, you definitely cannot ignore Phong Nha Cave or Son Doong Cave (Quang Binh) - the largest natural cave in the world. Or if you are passionate about trekking, conquering nature, the Northwest high mountains will be a great choice. In addition, you will also have a chance to participate in other sportive activities in Vietnam such as skydiving, bungee, paragliding, scuba diving, etc.

With more than 10 years of experience in organizing adventure tours, Mr Linh's Adventures is always confident to be a reputable travel company managing many Vietnam's destinations. “Great tour with a sweet and enthusiastic guide. Beautiful places, authentic food (The food was good, but little variety). The waterfall at the border to China was very beautiful, the kayaking to the home stay was amazing and the caves were cool. The boat tour on the river and the jungle was stunning. The tour in total was awesome and we would highly recommend it” stated Amalie B on TripAdvisor.

The pilot plan to welcome international tourists to Phu Quoc is considered to be a positive move. In addition, Vietnam will temporarily accept vaccine passports of 72 countries and territories including European countries, American and Australia. It shows that tourism activities in Viet Nam are gradually returning after facing many difficulties due to the COVID-19 epidemic. We hope that foreign visitors could enter Vietnam for traveling as soon as possible. And, Mr Linh Adventures is always ready to accompany you in all your moments.

Direct from Vietnam - Let's catch up with Mr Linhs Adventures

Dear partners, colleagues and friends,

It feels like it has been a while since our last communication. I hope you are coping as well as possible and manage to stay patient until the world recovers or a vaccine is found.

I wanted to give you a brief update on the situation in Vietnam. As you probably know, many countries are starting to lift their travel restrictions and put in place ‘travel corridors’. Even though the economy – and people’s sanity – desperately needs this boost, some of these countries still show alarming number of new community transmission cases of Covid-19 on a daily basis, hence risking a new wave domestically and globally.

Vietnam has been acclaimed for its management of this health crisis and is therefore logically included in the list of destinations affected by the lifting of travel restrictions. However, on the Vietnamese side, the borders remain closed and the government is unlikely to lift the ban this summer. The priority remains the safety of its citizens therefore, it is unclear when the country will welcome foreigners again, but we are expecting some changes for September.

It is unclear indeed when Vietnam will reinstate the international tourism market, but rest assured that my team keeps busy preparing for the day! Renewing products, creating new ones in line with the current trends, reinforcing health procedures during tours, etc., we are more than ready and exciting to welcome you back on our wonderful land.

Until then, I am happy to share our latest productions, two video clips introducing Vietnam from north to South, and our friendly and mysterious neighbor Laos. Hopefully, these will help you escape reality and let you travel with us.

LAOS DISCOVERY – Enigmatic and mysterious country on its way to greatness

The team at Trusted DMCMr Linh’s Adventures joins me in wishing you all the best and a quick recovery. We would be happy to hear from you in return and learn about your coping techniques during the pandemic.

As usual, if you have any query, we are just one click away!
Hẹn gặp lại, see you soon.
Kind regards, Linh

Vietnam plans tourism revival

The Vietnamese Government just announced on May 26 that 80 countries will be granted e-visas from July 1, positioning Vietnam as one of the first countries to reopen its borders to foreign nationals following the Covid-19 pandemic.

As a tour company, we are very delighted to announce that Vietnam will welcome tourists again from a selected list of countries (see below) starting on July 1. While countries around the world are beginning to ease lockdown rules and thinking about tourism revival, Vietnam is clearly a few steps ahead and showing the path.

In views of its location, Vietnam is the closest country to the epicentre of the pandemic, Wuhan. With 94 million inhabitants and daily exchanges and flights with China, heavy repercussions were expected. But it was not so. The government and the population took the threat seriously and put in place all the necessary measures since the very early stages. It may have looked extreme for some but the results speak for themselves today: 326 cases in total on May 26, only 55 active cases all imported with the repatriation of Vietnamese citizens from different countries, no death and no new coronavirus case caused by community transmission.

Tourism is part of the sectors that are hit the hardest, Trusted DMC – Mr Linh’s Adventures is no exception and also suffered from several weeks of inactivity. In May, with the ease of social distancing measures, the focus was put on the domestic market, which was a relief as business came back.

This free time also pushed us into being more active in raising awareness on environmental issues. In a couple of weeks, we organise a garbage collection operation in our favourite destination: Ba Be National Park.

We look forward to seeing our country full of curious and avid travellers again, sharing our history and culture is our passion, we have missed you all very much!

Click Here to see the list of the 80 countries which will be granted e-visa from July 1, and some information about e-visa.

Now as citizens of a safe country almost clear of the virus, we beg foreign visitors to be indulgent and follow our health safety rules: social distancing, wash hands with soap, keep hand sanitizer solution close by and wear a mask. If everyone works together, we promise you an outstanding experience in Vietnam. Contact us and start planning your trip!

Confinement Getaway Tips About Vietnam

Let’s go straight to the point: how do you manage to remain sane during isolation? Finally having some time to Netflix & Chill is nice of course, but your head must need to get some air. As getting outside is strongly limited and regulated, then we thought you could use some help planning your next escapade, in places so stunning that you can stock enough air and happy thoughts to wait until your next holiday!

We will not talk about many places of course, only one – maybe a couple if you insist – that can melt any heart, and that is Vietnam. Other countries sound lovely too for sure, but did you know that everything is possible in Vietnam? From beach holiday to trekking escapades, with a bit of motorbike in between, everyone can find their perfect experience in this welcoming country.

So for your own sanity, we strongly advise you to take a look at those treasures, some more famous than others, and start dreaming…

MAIN WELL-KNOWN PLACES

HALONG BAY

One the iconic natural beauties of Vietnam and unsurprisingly one of the most popular destinations in the whole country. With its crystal blue waters scattered with limestone peaks, Halong Bay sets in the Bay of Tonkin. This stunning coastal area became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994.

SAPA
Every year, thousands of people flock to Sapa to experience the remarkable scenery and discover the amazing cultural diversity of its many villages. The vivid green mountains climb high to the sky before cascading down the other side, and the terraced rice fields form hypnotizing patterns all the way down to the valleys.

HOI AN
It is no wonder that Hoi An attracts high numbers of foreign and domestic tourists each year. This popular destination has the complete package: rich history, beaches, craftsmanship, arts and many shops, all wrapped up in a colourful old town. The warm yellow buildings and colourful lanterns create an enchanting atmosphere, ideal for a romantic escapade or a pause in between Northern adventures and Southern tastes.

MEKONG DELTA
Also known as the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam, the Mekong Delta is a water world where boats, houses and markets float upon the rivers, canals and streams. Every shades of green are represented between the trees lining on the river banks, their reflection in the water, and the agricultural lands surrounding. And every day the most colourful and unique markets happen on the mighty Mekong.

PHO QUOC ISLAND
Phu Quoc Island is an idyllic vision of sandy beaches, thick jungle, and clear blue waters. It has undergone many transformations from an undisturbed island with a population of less than 1000 people, to a quintessential Vietnamese holiday destination.

OFF THE BEATEN TRACK DESTINATIONS

BA BE NATIONAL PARK

Sitting peacefully in the northeast province of Bac Kan, Ba Be National Park is a haven of extraordinary scenery, fascinating biodiversity and rich culture. The ethnic minority communities live in small hamlets throughout park and still maintain a simple way of life, living off the land and fishing from the lake and rivers. As you adventure through the national park you will have the chance to meet the local people and discover their history and culture. The many different areas of the national park are steeped in mystery and legends, the stories handed down through many generations.

CAO BANG PROVINCE

Cao Bang is an immensely beautiful, sparsely populated frontier region of Northern Vietnam. This mountainous province sits on the north-eastern border with China and is home to many ethnic minority communities. Although the Ban Gioc waterfalls have become a popular attraction, this region is often overlooked by tourists, hence it has kept its unique beauty and culture. In April, 2018, the stunning natural beauty of the region was recognized when UNESCO made the decision to include Cao Bang in their Global Geoparks Network, making it Vietnam’s second entry on the list.

HA GIANG PROVINCE
Vietnam’s ‘final frontier’ rewards you by sweeping views of karst mountains, carpets of flowers, colourful markets and rich, diverse ethnic minority communities. The mountainous area with towering limestone peaks, share a 270 km border with neighbouring China. Although gaining popularity with tourists, this remarkable area is still off the beaten track and goes unnoticed by many.

PHONG NHA-KE BANG NATIONAL PARK
The park has a beauty which is incomparable to any other part of the world. Below the rich primary and secondary forests, sits an underground prehistoric cave paradise which exceeds the powers of the imagination. It is one of the largest and oldest karst formations in the world. 400 million years of formation, erosion and tectonic activity have resulted in one of the most stunning cave systems of the world, the scale and beauty of which is almost indescribable. The labyrinth features stalactites and stalagmites, pools, rivers, and even a cave large enough to house an entire New York City block.

DALAT & THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS
Vietnam's somewhat mysterious Central Highland region is often missed off the usual tourist routes. It is a land full of mountains, primitive forests and small ethnic minority communities clinging to their identity amidst mass colonisation of the region.

Dalat sits there in the middle and is somewhat of an anomaly in the hot, humid, jungle landscapes of Vietnam. Visitors could almost mistake the region for a European town. Often nicknamed ‘The City of Eternal Spring’, Dalat has a temperate climate making it an ideal escape from the heat and humidity of other areas.

GOT MORE TIME?
If your thirst for adventures and discovery is not yet quenched, why not extend the trip to Cambodia or Laos (or even both!)?

CAMBODIA
With just a few more days you can at least visit a famous World Heritage Site in Siem Reap, the unique Temples of Angkor. It is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Angkor was a former megacity stretching over 400km2 and has been described as the largest pre-industrial city in the world. Needless to say that it is a fascinating place to explore nowadays!

And with another couple of days, we can take you to

LAOS
Perfect destinations for temple lovers, Luang Prabang, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, resides by the sacred confluence of the Khan and Mekong rivers. Temples and monasteries dominate any visitor’s itinerary here, with its 33 gilded wats and numerous saffron clad monks.
Having received a rush of investment since the 1990’s, once dilapidated French villas have been reimagined as stunning but affordable boutique hotels and hostels. Many of these villas stand today due to Luang Prabang being a royalist stronghold during the wars, and as such escaped the intense US bombing raids that plagued the rest of Northern Laos.

Now, do your brain a favor and start dreaming of all the wonderful things we have in store to make your next trip, the adventure of a lifetime. Contact us and we will start working on your ideal itinerary!
