Grape Vine Resveratrol
Grape vines can live for 100 years. They can withstand the harshness of the cold, wind and rain, thanks to the naturally produced resveratrol that protects the vines and helps them to regenerate. Now, imagine that miracle on your skin. Discovered through the tales of the family vineyard, Caudalie was the first to patent this natural anti-oxidant ingredient with firming and anti-ageing properties. As an anti-oxidant, resveratrol can inhibit enzymes cutting our skin's collagen as a result of oxidation. It can also stimulate and enhance our natural production of elastin fibres, hyaluronic acid and collagen to firm and smooth wrinkles.

Resveratrol is also the secret behind the French Paradox, where the intake of resveratrol from red wine lowers the risk of coronary heart disease among those with a high intake of cholesterol and saturated fat in their diet. This amazing natural ingredient can be applied on the skin and ingested to help achieve longevity inside and out.

About Caudalie
Caudalie is a 100% independent, family-run company created by Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas in 1995. It all began in Bordeaux, when Mathilde and Bertrand met Professor Joseph Vercauteren, laboratory director of the Pharmacy University of Bordeaux, in Mathilde parents' vineyard - Château Smith Haut Lafitte. He told them that grape seeds contain the most powerful antioxidants in the world and from there, they have been working together ever since.

The brand owes its success to its unique products and Vinothérapie® Spas which harness the amazing anti-oxidant powers of vines and grapes that hydrate, soothe, rejuvenate and protect the skin.

Unceasingly investing in research, Caudalie is the first beauty brand to use and patent stabilised grape polyphenols and grapevine resveratrol in skincare. Since 1995, Caudalie has obtained three worldwide patents targeting various cutaneous signs of aging with hero products that are loved by women and A-list celebrities across the world today.

Mathilde believes that nature is full of virtuous active ingredients for our skin. At Caudalie, natural active ingredients that respect the environment and the skin are favoured. The company targets at least 95% natural ingredients in its formulas by 2021 (excluding the sun care range), without sacrificing effectiveness and sensoriality. Every Caudalie product is created without parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or ingredients of animal origin.

Giving back to nature from which the brand extracts its ingredients, Caudalie has given 1% of its annual turnover to environmental associations for reforestation since 2012 and is now the largest "1% for the Planet" contributor in the global cosmetic industry. Mathilde and Bertrand hope to inspire other companies to join them in offsetting their carbon footprint with concrete actions for the planet.

“Since its opening, sky100 has launched many new facilities with innovative technologies to refresh the visitor experience,” said Ms. Stella Wong, General Manager of sky100. “Since 2015, sky100 has offered its mobile application, AR Fun Photos and 360 VR ride, making an impossible sky-high journey possible. The “Love in the Sky” light show launched last December likewise made the spectacular night views of Victoria Harbour even more romantic, and the popular “Message of Love” personalised message service launched in February offered a unique opportunity for couples to celebrate important occasions such as proposals and anniversaries. This summer, we have once again infused various technologies into the installations at sky100, creating missions and challenges for families to enjoy together, and unlocking children's creativity.”

Ms Wong added, “sky100 has performed well in the past 12 months. The launch of the High Speed Rail and the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macau Bridge in Q4 2018 further enhanced Hong Kong's connectivity and accessibility from cities throughout China, facilitating more frequent visits by travellers from across the region. Leveraging these exciting opportunities, together with our joint promotions with local and overseas partners, sky100 once again achieved double-digit growth in visitor numbers compared to the same period last year. While growth from Chinese visitors was the most significant, our customer base remains a healthy ratio of 20% locals, 40% mainland visitors and 40% overseas visitors. The base for our overseas visitors continues to grow, with visitors coming from more than 100 countries and cities worldwide. Japan, Korea, South East Asia and India are the key sources for short-haul markets while the UK, US and Australia are key long-haul markets. Looking ahead, 2019 looks likely to be a year full of challenges for the tourism industry. sky100 will collaborate with Hong Kong attractions and hotel partners to launch unique packages and strengthen promotions in overseas markets. sky100 remains committed to contributing towards the robust development of Hong Kong's tourism industry and grasping new opportunities across the Greater Bay Area.”
