New Accolades Put Sonoma County in the Global Spotlight

Enclos Sonoma
Sonoma County is celebrating an impressive collection of new accolades, reinforcing its reputation as one of California’s leading destinations for food, wine, culture and sophisticated travel experiences.

From Michelin-starred restaurants and acclaimed wineries to award-winning museums and one of America’s top hotel bars, the latest recognition highlights the extraordinary depth and diversity of Sonoma County tourism.

Michelin Recognition Raises the Culinary Bar

One of the biggest stories is Enclos Sonoma, which has risen from two Michelin stars to three in the 2026 Bay Area Michelin Guide awards. The achievement places Enclos Sonoma in the guide’s highest tier and makes it the only restaurant to receive three stars in the 2026 Bay Area awards.

The restaurant first entered the Michelin Guide with two stars in 2025, just six months after opening, making its rapid rise particularly remarkable.

Sonoma County also welcomed new Michelin recognition for Troubadour, which earned its first Michelin star. Meanwhile, SingleThread retained its prestigious three-star rating as well as its Michelin Green Star for environmental sustainability and stewardship. Cyrus maintained its one-star rating.

For travellers planning a Sonoma County food and wine getaway, these honours add even more reasons to explore the region’s celebrated culinary scene.

Bib Gourmand Dining Adds More Choice

Sonoma County’s culinary appeal extends beyond Michelin-starred dining. The Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand selections recognise restaurants offering high-quality cuisine at more accessible prices.

The latest selections include El Molino Central, Valley Bar + Bottle, Glen Ellen Star, Khom Loi, Ramen Gaijin and Stockhome.

Together, these restaurants demonstrate that exceptional dining in Sonoma County comes in many forms, from innovative contemporary cuisine to comforting and flavourful local favourites.

Museums and Culture Earn National Attention

The Charles M. Schulz Museum
Sonoma County’s attractions are also receiving major recognition. The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center and the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County were named among the San Francisco Chronicle’s Top 10 Bay Area Museums.

The recognition adds cultural appeal to a destination already known for vineyards, redwood forests, coastal landscapes, historic communities and farm-to-table experiences.

For families, art and culture enthusiasts, these museums offer another dimension to a Sonoma County holiday.

Sonoma Wine Country Continues to Shine

Wine remains central to the Sonoma County experience, with several new accolades reinforcing the destination’s international reputation.

Robb Report named Domaine de la Rivière’s 2021 Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay among the 50 Greatest California Chardonnays of the 21st Century.

Healdsburg’s Mascarin Family Wines was also named among the San Francisco Chronicle’s Top Wineries in Sonoma County for 2026.

At Graton Resort & Casino, AYA has been recognised in Wine Spectator’s 2026 Restaurant Awards for its wine program. The rooftop restaurant received a Best of Award of Excellence just two months after opening.

A Top Hotel Bar in the USA

Andys Beeline Rooftop
Adding another reason to visit Healdsburg, Andys Beeline Rooftop at Appellation Healdsburg was ranked the number four hotel bar in the United States in USA TODAY 10Best’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards.

The recognition further strengthens Sonoma County’s growing reputation for stylish hospitality, distinctive dining and memorable wine-country experiences.

Discover Award-Winning Sonoma County

With world-class restaurants, acclaimed wineries, engaging museums, sophisticated hotels and diverse travel experiences, Sonoma County continues to evolve as a destination that rewards both first-time visitors and returning travellers.

Located north of San Francisco, Sonoma County combines Wine Country traditions with Pacific Coast scenery, redwood landscapes, charming communities and an increasingly celebrated culinary culture.

For travellers seeking an award-winning California destination with plenty of experiences beyond the vineyard, Sonoma County deserves a place on the itinerary.

Business Traveller APAC Awards 2026: Celebrating Excellence Across Asia-Pacific Travel

Business Traveller Global Awards 2025,
Michael Keating CEO of INK Global
The Asia-Pacific business travel industry will have a new reason to celebrate in 2026, with the Business Traveller APAC Awards being held alongside ITB Asia for the first time.

The landmark occasion will bring together leading organisations, senior executives and influential professionals from across aviation, hospitality, destinations, travel technology and corporate travel, creating a powerful meeting point for the region's business travel community.

The Business Traveller APAC Awards have long provided a platform for recognising organisations that deliver outstanding experiences and services to business travellers. The 2026 awards will provide an opportunity to celebrate the companies, brands and destinations helping shape the future of business travel across Asia-Pacific.

A New Chapter for the Business Traveller APAC Awards

Holding the Business Traveller APAC Awards alongside ITB Asia creates a natural connection between two important elements of the travel industry: business recognition and international tourism networking.

ITB Asia brings together tourism organisations, travel companies, destinations, buyers and industry professionals from across the region and beyond. Bringing the awards into this environment provides an opportunity for the achievements of the business travel sector to be recognised in front of a highly international audience.

For senior executives and travel professionals, the awards are more than a celebration. They highlight the organisations influencing how people travel for business, conduct meetings, manage corporate mobility and experience destinations across the Asia-Pacific region.

Recognising the Best in Aviation and Travel

Airlines remain at the heart of successful business travel, connecting corporate travellers with commercial centres throughout Asia-Pacific and the world.

The Business Traveller APAC Awards recognise excellence across the travel ecosystem, providing a platform for leading aviation organisations and travel brands to demonstrate their commitment to service, connectivity and the changing needs of corporate travellers.

As business travel continues to evolve, airlines are increasingly competing on the complete passenger experience, from airport lounges and premium cabins to digital services, loyalty programs and more flexible travel options.

The awards provide an opportunity to recognise those organisations that continue to raise expectations among frequent business travellers.

Hospitality Takes Centre Stage

Hotels are another essential part of the business travel experience, particularly as companies increasingly combine corporate meetings with leisure, networking and extended stays.

The 2026 awards feature hotels and hospitality brands competing across categories designed to recognise different aspects of the business travel experience.

Current nominees include properties across major Asia-Pacific business destinations such as Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bali and Taipei. Business Traveller's 2026 awards coverage highlights properties including Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit, M Hotel Singapore City Centre, Hopewell Hotel in Hong Kong, Shangri-La Far Eastern in Taipei and Amari Kuala Lumpur among the hotels in contention.

These nominations demonstrate the breadth of the regional business travel market, from established luxury hotels and international brands to contemporary properties catering to the needs of today's mobile corporate traveller.

The Changing Business Traveller

Business Traveller APAC Awards
Today's business traveller expects considerably more than a comfortable bed and a convenient location.

Reliable connectivity, efficient transport, flexible meeting facilities, wellness options, quality dining and seamless digital services have become important components of the corporate travel experience.

Hotels competing for business travel recognition are therefore increasingly required to provide environments that allow guests to work productively while also offering opportunities to relax and enjoy the destination.

The growth of hybrid working and extended business trips has also blurred the traditional distinction between business and leisure travel.

This has created greater demand for hotels and destinations where meetings, work, dining, wellness, culture and leisure can be combined within a single journey.

Asia-Pacific's Leading Business Destinations

The 2026 awards also reflect the extraordinary diversity of the Asia-Pacific business travel landscape.

Singapore continues to be a major international business hub, while Hong Kong remains an important gateway to Greater China and the wider region.

Bangkok combines international connectivity with an extensive hospitality and meetings infrastructure, while Kuala Lumpur continues to strengthen its position as a competitive business and MICE destination.

Cities such as Taipei, Tokyo and other major Asia-Pacific centres similarly offer sophisticated corporate travel infrastructure combined with distinctive local experiences.

For international companies, this diversity provides an increasingly broad choice of destinations for meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions and corporate travel.

Travel Technology Is Transforming Corporate Travel

Technology is another important part of the modern business travel landscape.

From booking platforms and mobile applications to artificial intelligence, digital payments and personalised travel management, technology is changing the way corporate travellers plan and experience their journeys.

Travel technology can reduce friction at almost every stage of a business trip, allowing travellers to manage reservations, access information, communicate with suppliers and adjust itineraries more efficiently.

For travel managers and corporate decision-makers, technology is also becoming increasingly important for monitoring travel expenditure, traveller safety, sustainability and policy compliance.

The Business Traveller APAC Awards' broad focus on aviation, hospitality, destinations, travel technology and corporate travel reflects this increasingly interconnected industry.

Why Recognition Matters

Awards can provide more than a trophy or title.

For travel companies, recognition can strengthen brand reputation, demonstrate industry leadership and provide an important endorsement when competing for the attention of corporate travellers and travel managers.

For travellers, awards can also provide useful indicators when choosing airlines, hotels, travel services and destinations.

The 2026 Business Traveller APAC Awards have a particularly strong connection with travellers because voting involves readers as well as an expert panel. Business Traveller reported that an industry panel preselected nominees in key categories, while readers could vote for the business, brand or property they believed deserved recognition.

This combination brings professional industry knowledge and traveller opinion together.

Celebrating Innovation and Service

The business travel industry is undergoing rapid change.

Air connectivity is evolving, technology is transforming travel management, hotels are adapting to new traveller expectations and companies are placing greater emphasis on sustainability and traveller wellbeing.

Against this background, recognition for innovation and service becomes increasingly significant.

The organisations competing in the Business Traveller APAC Awards are not simply competing for prestige. They are part of a wider industry conversation about what business travel should look like in the years ahead.

A Significant Gathering for the Asia-Pacific Travel Industry

Business Traveller APAC Awards
The decision to hold the Business Traveller APAC Awards alongside ITB Asia creates an especially strong platform for the 2026 celebration.

ITB Asia attracts tourism boards, destinations, travel companies, buyers and senior industry representatives from around the world. The awards add another dimension to the event by bringing together leading names in business travel for an evening focused on achievement and excellence.

For the Asia-Pacific travel industry, the combination represents an opportunity to network, exchange ideas and celebrate the organisations contributing to the region's global travel economy.

Looking Towards the Future of Business Travel

The Business Traveller APAC Awards 2026 arrive at an important moment for the Asia-Pacific travel industry.

Business travel is no longer defined solely by flights, hotel rooms and meetings. It is increasingly about creating efficient, connected and rewarding journeys that support both professional objectives and personal wellbeing.

The strongest travel organisations are responding by combining technology with human service, connectivity with convenience and business facilities with authentic destination experiences.

As the awards bring together the region's leading aviation, hospitality, destination, technology and corporate travel organisations, they will provide a snapshot of the businesses helping shape this next chapter.

For the Asia-Pacific business travel sector, the 2026 Business Traveller APAC Awards promise to be both a celebration of current achievements and a reflection of where the industry is heading next.

Hobart Leads Australia's Career and Lifestyle Boom as LinkedIn Names It the Nation's Fastest Growing City for Opportunity

Hobart
Australia's southernmost capital has claimed the spotlight after being named Australia's number one city in LinkedIn's inaugural 2026 Cities on the Rise rankings. The new report highlights a growing trend of professionals looking beyond the country's largest metropolitan centres in search of rewarding careers, affordable living and an enviable lifestyle.

For travellers, business visitors and those considering a relocation, the rankings also reveal an exciting side of Australia where vibrant regional cities are attracting new investment, skilled workers and expanding industries. These destinations are not only places to build a career but also outstanding places to explore.

Hobart Tops Australia's Cities on the Rise

Greater Hobart secured first place thanks to strong interstate migration, increasing hybrid work opportunities and a competitive employment market. As more Australians embrace flexible work arrangements, Tasmania's capital is becoming an attractive destination for professionals seeking a better work-life balance.

Hobart combines modern career opportunities with exceptional natural beauty. Visitors and residents enjoy easy access to Mount Wellington, waterfront dining, world-class food experiences, award-winning wineries and a thriving arts scene. Unlike larger cities, commuting is easier, allowing more time to enjoy Tasmania's spectacular landscapes.

Edwin Johnstone, Chair of Business Greater Hobart, believes the city's greatest strength is its unique balance between professional opportunity and lifestyle.

He explains that Hobart offers the culture, food, festivals and business opportunities expected of a much larger city while remaining highly accessible. Professionals can finish work in the city centre and within minutes be hiking through native bushland, relaxing on a beach or enjoying the mountain scenery. The city's manageable size also allows entrepreneurs and innovators to make a genuine impact within the community.

Australia's Top 10 Cities on the Rise for 2026

LinkedIn's analysis identified the following destinations as Australia's fastest-growing employment markets:

  1. Greater Hobart
  2. Greater Darwin
  3. Rockhampton
  4. Greater Newcastle
  5. Greater Adelaide
  6. Greater Albury-Wodonga
  7. Greater Brisbane
  8. Gold Coast
  9. Greater Canberra
  10. Wollongong

The rankings were developed using LinkedIn platform data measuring hiring growth, new job opportunities and talent migration over the past year.

Regional Australia Is Creating New Opportunities

Hobart
The report reflects a significant shift in Australia's employment landscape. While Sydney and Melbourne continue to remain major economic centres, professionals are increasingly considering regional cities that offer both career advancement and improved affordability.

Queensland and Victoria each secured three cities within the national top ten, demonstrating their continued population growth and expanding employment markets.

Regional centres including Rockhampton, Albury-Wodonga and Wollongong are becoming increasingly attractive to skilled workers thanks to strong infrastructure investment, growing industries and expanding business communities.

These destinations are also rewarding places for travellers to discover authentic Australian experiences, local food cultures and welcoming communities beyond the traditional tourist trail.

Workers Are Looking Beyond Salary

LinkedIn reports that 81 percent of Australian professionals feel unprepared for the job market in 2026, making reliable employment data increasingly valuable for career planning.

According to LinkedIn Career Expert Brendan Wong, today's professionals are evaluating much more than salary when deciding whether to relocate.

Factors such as housing affordability, flexible working arrangements, career progression, lifestyle and professional networking opportunities now play an equally important role. LinkedIn's Cities on the Rise rankings help Australians identify locations where economic growth and expanding industries are creating genuine long-term career prospects.

Darwin Continues Its Strong Growth

Greater Darwin secured second place nationally, reflecting increasing investment and business confidence across the Northern Territory.

Darwin entrepreneur and LinkedIn Top Voice Dante St James says the city has become increasingly attractive for both investors and entrepreneurs. He notes that Darwin has earned a strong reputation as an excellent place to establish a business while experiencing significant employment growth.

Although employers continue to face workforce shortages, graduates and early-career professionals are discovering substantial opportunities, including attractive salaries for entry-level and mid-management positions that often exceed those available elsewhere in Australia.

Why These Cities Matter to Travellers

For visitors, these emerging cities represent far more than employment destinations.

Hobart
Growing economies typically lead to improved tourism infrastructure, expanded accommodation choices, new restaurants, upgraded transport links and a broader range of cultural attractions. Business travellers attending conferences, corporate meetings or industry events will also benefit from expanding convention facilities and improved visitor services.

Hobart, Darwin, Newcastle, Adelaide and the Gold Coast already attract millions of visitors each year, while destinations such as Rockhampton, Albury-Wodonga and Wollongong are rapidly establishing themselves as appealing locations for both business and leisure travel.

As Australia's workforce becomes increasingly mobile, these cities are demonstrating that professional success and an outstanding lifestyle can go hand in hand.

Whether planning a career move, investing in business opportunities or simply searching for a new destination to explore, Australia's rising cities offer a compelling combination of opportunity, innovation and exceptional quality of life.

Air India's Digital Revolution Takes Flight with Prestigious Global Award

Air India
As international travellers increasingly expect seamless digital experiences from the moment they book a flight until they reach their destination, Air India has earned worldwide recognition for one of the aviation industry's most remarkable technology transformations. The airline has been honoured with the prestigious Airline Strategy Award for Digital Leadership, recognising its rapid digital reinvention and commitment to delivering a world-class travel experience.

The award marks another significant milestone in Air India's ambitious transformation following its return to the Tata Group in 2022 and reinforces the airline's growing reputation as one of the world's most technologically advanced carriers.

A Global Honour for Digital Excellence

Air India received the Airline Strategy Award for Digital Leadership from FlightGlobal, one of the world's most respected aviation and aerospace news organisations based in the United Kingdom.

The award was presented during a special ceremony in London organised by FlightGlobal in partnership with international management consulting firm Korn Ferry.

Accepting the award on behalf of Air India were Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Campbell Wilson and Chief Digital and Technology Officer Dr Satya Ramaswamy.

The Airline Strategy Awards are regarded as one of the aviation industry's highest honours, with winners selected by an independent panel of respected airline analysts, consultants and former airline chief executives. Air India was the sole recipient of the Digital Leadership Award this year, joining an elite group of previous winners that includes United Airlines and Ryanair.

Technology Driving a New Era for Air India

Air India
Since returning to the Tata Group, Air India has embarked on an ambitious transformation designed to modernise every aspect of its operations through cutting-edge digital technology.

Rather than simply upgrading existing systems, the airline has rebuilt its technology infrastructure almost from the ground up, creating a modern cloud-based digital ecosystem that supports both passengers and employees.

Remarkably, Air India has implemented more than 140 enterprise technology systems in just over two years, a project that would typically take airlines more than a decade to complete.

This digital transformation is helping streamline operations, improve efficiency and deliver a smoother travel experience across every stage of the customer journey.

A Better Experience for Travellers

Today's travellers expect convenience, speed and personalisation, and Air India has placed customer experience at the centre of its digital strategy.

The airline has introduced a modern website, award-winning mobile applications, advanced notification systems, enhanced inflight entertainment and innovative artificial intelligence solutions designed to make travelling easier.

Air India's mobile applications have now been downloaded more than 17 million times and maintain an impressive 4.8-star rating on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in India.

These digital platforms allow passengers to manage bookings, receive travel updates, access personalised services and enjoy a more connected travel experience before, during and after their flights.

Artificial Intelligence Shapes the Future of Flying

Air India
Air India has also become a global leader in the application of Artificial Intelligence within commercial aviation.

In May 2023, the airline launched AI.g, the airline industry's first Generative Artificial Intelligence virtual assistant.

Since its introduction, AI.g has successfully handled more than 26 million customer enquiries while achieving an exceptional 97 percent resolution rate without requiring human intervention.

The airline is currently developing more than 30 additional Artificial Intelligence initiatives that aim to further improve customer service, operational efficiency and employee productivity, positioning Air India at the forefront of aviation innovation.

Supporting Staff Through Digital Innovation

Behind every successful airline is a highly skilled workforce, and Air India's digital transformation extends well beyond customer-facing technology.

Pilots, cabin crew, engineers and ground staff now utilise fully digital systems and customised applications that simplify daily operations while reducing paperwork and improving communication.

Modern iPad-based technology provides flight crews with real-time operational information, enabling faster decision-making and enhancing the overall customer experience throughout every journey.

The airline has also invested heavily in advanced data analytics, allowing employees to make better-informed decisions while delivering more personalised service to passengers.

One of Aviation's Largest Digital Integrations

Air India
Among Air India's greatest achievements has been the successful integration of Air India and the former Vistara airline following their merger.

The airline completed the integration of more than 140 technology systems in less than one year, bringing together approximately 300 aircraft, over 30,000 employees and more than 10 million loyalty programme members.

Industry experts note that mergers of this scale typically require several years to complete, making Air India's achievement one of the fastest and smoothest airline technology integrations ever undertaken.

Leadership Driving the Transformation

Campbell Wilson, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Air India, described the award as recognition of the airline's extraordinary transformation journey.

He said the honour reflects the commitment and dedication of Air India employees while highlighting the important role technology continues to play in enhancing customer experience, empowering staff and delivering operational excellence.

Chief Digital and Technology Officer Dr Satya Ramaswamy added that digital technology and Artificial Intelligence have become essential foundations for modern airlines.

He explained that Air India's extensive digital landscape has transformed customer experiences while supporting employees with advanced systems designed to improve efficiency and create long-term competitive advantage.

What It Means for International Travellers

Air India
For travellers flying between Australia, India and destinations across Asia, Air India's digital transformation delivers tangible benefits.

Passengers can now enjoy easier booking processes, improved mobile services, enhanced onboard technology, faster customer support, personalised travel experiences and more efficient operations throughout their journey.

As Air India continues expanding its international network and modernising its fleet, its investment in digital innovation is helping redefine the travel experience for millions of passengers worldwide.

The airline's recognition with the Airline Strategy Award for Digital Leadership demonstrates that technological excellence has become just as important as aircraft, destinations and customer service in shaping the future of global aviation.
