As Wego continues its global expansion plans in 2013, three of the
company’s senior representatives will attend ITB Berlin, one of the most
important travel industry trade shows in the world. The European visit
coincides with the opening of a new Middle East headquarters in Dubai,
and relocation to larger premises in both Bangalore and Singapore.
Leading the team, Dean Wicks, Chief Flights Officer for Wego will
meet with the company’s airline partners to help strengthen and expand
their business using Wego’s unique travel metasearch technology, while
introducing many others who are keen to learn more about how Wego can
increase their reach online, beyond their own website.
“I’m thrilled that so many airlines see the value of partnering with
Wego and have expressed interest in meeting with us at ITB,” said Wicks.
“With our distinctive local market approach which has been a large part
of our localisationstrategy, airlines are reaping the benefits in
regions that have been in the past, out of their market reach.”
Graham Hills, Managing Director of Wego Indonesia will highlight the
incredible progress of the Indonesian travel industry and market in the
region.
“Wego Indonesia has grown exponentially since its launch in 2011 and
this market has continued to surprise and delight us as they fully
embrace a new energy for travel,” said Hills. “Inbound we’re witnessing
an increasing trend in both domestic and international visitors
discovering new destinations in Indonesia, outside of the usual Bali
holiday. While Bali continues to be popular I look forward to sharing
the progress this country’s travel industry is making in previously
undiscovered destinations.”
