42nd Muswellbrook Art Prize 2013

Created as a direct result of the ongoing acquisitive art competitions, the Muswellbrook Shire Art Collection began in 1958 with the staging of the inaugural Muswellbrook Art Prize. The winning work Death of Voss by Thomas Gleghorn became the linchpin of what has grown to become an excellent collection of contemporary Australian painting, works on paper and ceramics from the second half of the 20th century and now the first decade of the 21st century.

Now in it’s 42nd iteration, the acquisitive Muswellbrook Art Prize sees paintings, works on paper and ceramics submitted from a wide national group of upcoming, well-known and established artists.
