Cultures of China, Festivals of Spring

The Chinese State Council and Chinese Consulate in Sydney hosted a ‘Cultures of China’ event on 23 February as part of the Festivals of Spring celebrations. The important annual event included a selection of prominent Chinese performing artists, who arrived in Australia for a cultural exchange concert. Managing Director of Tourism Australia Andrew McEvoy attended the reception with special guests He Ya Fei, Deputy Minister of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of State Council of the P.R of China, Mr. Dun Jie Long, General of the P.R of China in Sydney, and Mr. Qiu Wei Lian, Australian Council Promotion of Peaceful Reunification of China who spoke about the importance of cultural tourism.
