The Expo will be full of interactive activities and educational displays and this year will have a water theme. There will be presentations on how to preserve and recycle water, and one of the mines huge water carts will be on display.
The mining and energy industries play a major part in the economy of the Upper Hunter region of NSW. The Expo is one of the ways they interact with the local community to help explain their operations.
The Expo is located in a huge tent just inside the Rutherford Road entrance to the Showgrounds, and admission to the Expo is free (after paying the Show admission).
