Dusit International has announced a milestone leadership appointment that is poised to elevate Thailand’s Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector. Ms Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk, Vice President – Operations (Central & Southern Thailand) and Government & Business Relations at Dusit International, has been named President of the Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA) for the 2025–2026 term.
TICA, a respected non-profit established in 1984, has long championed Thailand as a premier MICE destination. With Ms Tantiprasertsuk’s appointment, the association enters a promising new phase, backed by over three decades of her service to the organisation and extensive experience in hospitality and destination promotion.
Bringing Graciousness and Strategy Together
Known for her work at Dusit International, Ms Tantiprasertsuk brings to her new role not only industry acumen but a clear vision rooted in Dusit’s values. She plans to embed the pillars of Dusit Graciousness—service, locality, well-being, and sustainability—into TICA’s future initiatives, ensuring that the country’s MICE offerings are both competitive and deeply connected to Thai heritage.
She sees this new chapter as an opportunity to lead with authenticity, stating, “We won’t just keep up with competitors—we will lead them.”
Her leadership promises to build on the legacy of her predecessor, Mr Sumate Sudasna Ayutthaya, who guided TICA for 16 years. Ms Tantiprasertsuk aims to uphold the association’s reputation for excellence while empowering a new generation of tourism professionals.
Leading by Example on a Global Scale
Dusit International’s commitment to the tourism industry is reflected not only in its properties but also in the contributions of its executives to global hospitality discourse. Mr Chanin Donavanik, Dusit’s Vice Chairman, serves in advisory roles for the Thai Hotels Association and the ASEAN Hotel and Restaurant Association, among others. Group CEO Ms Suphajee Suthumpun actively shapes regional hospitality investment and education through international boards and advisory roles.
This leadership approach trickles down through the company’s robust hospitality education programs. Institutions like Dusit Thani College, Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Culinary School, and The Food School are nurturing the next wave of professionals in hospitality, culinary arts, and sustainable tourism. These institutions participate in world-class competitions and host global academic forums that spotlight Thailand as a hub for responsible tourism innovation.
Shaping the Future of Thai Tourism
With her new role as TICA President, Ms Tantiprasertsuk is set to further unify Thailand’s MICE strategy with sustainability and cultural engagement. Her dual roles at Dusit and TICA create a unique synergy between business leadership and national representation, reinforcing Thailand’s place on the world stage as a destination of excellence.
As Thailand’s MICE industry continues to recover and expand post-pandemic, her appointment signals confidence, continuity, and a renewed commitment to shaping experiences that go far beyond the conference hall.
