Beginning April 30, 2026, a new era of immersive travel will begin with the launch of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Signature Walk. This fully guided, five-day, four-night walking experience leads guests across 54 kilometres of ancient desert trails, from the majestic domes of Kata Tjuta to the base of Uluru, deep within the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park.
This unique walking experience is more than just a hike; it is a spiritual and cultural journey through the ancestral lands of the Anangu people. Developed in close collaboration with Traditional Owners, the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Board of Management, Parks Australia and the Central Land Council, the walk offers unparalleled access to stories, landscapes and traditions that have endured for tens of thousands of years.
Walk, Connect, Reflect
Over the course of five days, walkers will traverse some of Australia’s most iconic terrain, guided by expert leaders who provide deep insights into the region's ecology, geology and cultural significance. The trail begins at Kata Tjuta and winds east through red desert sands, spinifex plains, and ancient rock formations, drawing ever closer to the monolithic presence of Uluru.
Guests will stay in two eco-sensitive camps and comfortable lodge accommodation located inside the national park, providing an intimate and immersive way to experience the vast stillness of the outback, day and night.
Stories from the Land
One of the defining features of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Signature Walk is the opportunity to learn directly about the history and spiritual traditions of the Anangu people. Through guided cultural experiences and interpretive storytelling, guests gain a meaningful understanding of Tjukurpa—the traditional law and cultural knowledge passed down through countless generations.
This walk is designed not just for those seeking natural beauty, but for travellers who wish to deepen their connection with Australia’s First Peoples and the land itself.
