Whether it’s culture, adventure, or small-town charm you’re chasing, there’s never been a better time to extend your stay and dive deeper into the Peace Garden State.

Bismarck Celebrates Indigenous Culture and Tradition

The United Tribes Technical College (UTTC) International Powwow marks its 55th anniversary in 2025, bringing together dancers, singers and artisans for one of the largest powwows in the northern Great Plains. Held from September 5 to 7, the event offers a vibrant showcase of Native American culture, complete with hand-crafted goods and traditional foods. Visitors are encouraged to explore beyond the powwow with immersive cultural experiences across the region.

Tee Off at the Reimagined Pheasant Country Golf Course

Near Dickinson, the revitalised Pheasant Country Golf Course is a must-visit for golf enthusiasts. With an enhanced layout, lush fairways, and stunning scenery, this 18-hole course now features redesigned bunkers, new cart paths and practice facilities. It’s an ideal stop on North Dakota’s Triple Golf Challenge, which also includes Hawktree and Bully Pulpit golf courses.

Fargo Gets a Boost of Adrenaline

Opening in Fall 2025, Slick City Action Park in Fargo introduces a new kind of adventure with waterless slides, inflatable air courts, junior play zones, and acrobatic activities. Spanning more than 30,000 square feet, this frictionless playground is designed for fun without the splash—making it perfect for all ages. It’s the latest addition to Fargo’s ever-growing list of family-friendly attractions.

Grand Forks Expands Its Entertainment Scene

The new Northern Air Action Park, now more than just a trampoline centre, includes indoor karting, laser tag, arcade gaming, and axe throwing. This upgraded venue promises high-energy fun for all, making it an ideal stop for families or groups travelling through Grand Forks.

Minot Marks Major Milestones in 2025

Minot is buzzing with celebrations. Atypical Brewery & Barrelworks has expanded its popular beer garden, now featuring heated domes for year-round enjoyment. Citizens Alley, a new pedestrian plaza, opens in spring with splash zones, ice skating, and court games. The Minot Symphony Orchestra kicks off its 100th season in the fall, promising unforgettable concerts, guest artists, and a new community anthem. Plus, the Scandinavian Heritage Park marks its 25th anniversary with cultural tributes to Nordic countries and signature landmarks like the Stave Church and Dala Horse.

Western Spirit Soars in Medora

Two legendary institutions in Medora will celebrate milestone anniversaries in 2025. The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame turns 30, honouring the people and traditions that shaped the West. Meanwhile, the beloved Medora Musical hits its 60th season, offering nightly performances under the stars from June 4 to September 13 with toe-tapping music and sweeping Badlands views.

New Town Welcomes a Grand Expansion

The 4 Bears Casino and Lodge in New Town is undergoing a major transformation. Opening in summer 2025, a sleek new hotel tower will offer 90 rooms, a luxury spa, sports bar, and fine dining restaurant. A glass-enclosed elevator will provide access to a panoramic seventh-floor suite, setting a new standard for upscale entertainment in North Dakota.

Regent’s Enchanted Highway Adds a New Hero

The Enchanted Highway continues to impress travellers with the unveiling of Sir Albert, a 41-foot knight sculpture unveiled in 2024. Facing off with a massive green dragon, this new installation adds even more wonder to one of America’s most unique roadside art collections. It’s a whimsical detour that rewards those who venture off the beaten path.
