The excitement is building at Perisher as they gear up for the 2025 season with the installation of the new Mt Perisher 6 – a state-of-the-art high-speed, six-seater chairlift that will revolutionize the resort’s slopes. Not only will this new lift bring enhanced speed and efficiency, it also marks the beginning of a fresh chapter for one of Perisher’s most iconic trails, setting the stage for an even better guest experience on the mountain.
From Towers to Legends
For years, the “Towers” trail has been a signature run at Perisher, named in homage to the 27 lift towers that once lined Mt Perisher. This nostalgic trail has seen countless skiers and snowboarders navigate its slopes while taking in the scenic views and history of the area. With the installation of the new Mt Perisher 6, which reduces the number of lift towers to just 10, the trail’s landscape is set to change. But rather than simply letting the past fade away, Perisher is honouring the trail’s legacy with a new name and a deeper significance.
In celebration of the incredible contributions made by the Perisher and Doppelmayr teams in bringing the Mt Perisher 6 to life, the “Towers” trail will be rebranded as “Legends.” This transformation serves as a tribute to the long-serving staff members who have shaped Perisher’s storied history. The “Legends” trail will now serve as a Hall of Fame run, providing an ongoing opportunity to recognize and remember the remarkable individuals who have had a lasting impact on the resort and its community.

In keeping with the theme of recognition and celebration, Perisher is working towards the installation of a photo-worthy trailhead monument at the entrance of “Legends.” This monument will feature a QR code, allowing guests to scan and learn more about the legendary staff members who helped shape Perisher over the years.
