Taking place on 15 February 2027 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), Knowledge Monday will open AIME 2027 with a program exploring the relationship between human connection, business outcomes and rapidly advancing technology.
Curated by AIME in collaboration with El Kwang, founder of BEAMexperience, the program will bring together business events professionals, industry leaders and subject matter experts to exchange knowledge, challenge conventional thinking and discover practical ideas that can be applied within their organisations.
AIMEplify: People, Business and Impact
The AIMEplify theme recognises that although artificial intelligence and other technologies are changing how events are planned and delivered, human expertise remains central to successful business events.
The program will examine how professionals can use technology to improve efficiency while continuing to value the experience, creativity, judgement and relationships that turn meetings into meaningful business outcomes.
El Kwang said the theme reflects the importance of what happens when people come together with purpose, including the relationships they build, the ideas they exchange and the opportunities they create.
Knowledge Monday will encourage delegates to identify successful approaches already operating within the industry and explore how these can be expanded to create greater value for businesses, clients and event participants.
Four Program Themes to Inspire the Industry

The morning will focus on people, with sessions titled “Inspire Me, Motivate Me” and “Look After Me and My Team”. These themes will explore inspiration, professional development and the importance of supporting individuals and teams within the business events industry.
The afternoon will turn towards business and impact through “Challenge Me and My Team” and “Show Me What’s Possible”. These sessions will consider new ways of working, the potential of technology and how businesses can achieve stronger outcomes while keeping people at the centre of their strategies.
Two New Formats Put Industry Voices Centre Stage
Knowledge Monday 2027 will introduce two new formats designed to encourage greater participation and fresh perspectives.
“The Debate” will bring clients and suppliers from across the business events ecosystem together to discuss a topical issue selected by the industry. The format aims to encourage constructive discussion, challenge assumptions and explore different viewpoints.
“The Pitch” will give event practitioners an opportunity to present bold ideas that could reshape the future of business events. By placing industry voices directly on stage, the format aims to encourage innovation and stimulate conversations about new possibilities.
AIME Event Director Silke Calder said Knowledge Monday provides an opportunity for the community to learn, question and consider what comes next for the industry. The 2027 program will combine practical thinking, diverse perspectives and new ideas to help professionals navigate a changing business environment.
