Luxperience 2014 Confirms Major Partnership with Tourism New Zealand and Air New Zealand

Luxperience, the Sydney-based business exchange for the global luxury and experiential travel trade, announced this week a major destination partnership with Tourism New Zealand. Tourism New Zealand, who will join forces with Air New Zealand, will be the major sponsors of the Buyer and Media Lounge at Luxperience 2014.

Tourism New Zealand has actively supported Luxperience since its inaugural event three years ago and this year will increase its exhibitor presence by 70% on 2013. This mirrors the growth that Luxperience has experienced over its 3 year history proving the need for such an event in the Asia Pacific Region. Currently a total of 34 premium travel companies from New Zealand are registered to exhibit including prestigious organisations such as Luxury Lodges of New Zealand, Huka Lodge; Blanket Bay; Minaret Station Luxury Tented Lodge and Treetops Lodge and Estate. In 2014 Luxperience, which runs from 31st August to 3rd September, expects up to 300 exhibitors and over 600 buyers including 350 global travel trade specialists; U/HNWI consumer buyers and international media delegates to attend.

Lindy Andrews, CEO of Luxperience says, “We very much enjoy our close working relationship with Tourism New Zealand and are very excited to take our partnership to the next level. Tourism New Zealand is one of the most innovative and exciting tourism boards to work with and I believe there is total synergy between Luxperience, and our focus on the luxury and experiential travel trade, and Tourism New Zealand’s commitment to drive awareness of its product amongst the premium traveller”.

Justin Watson, Director of Trade, PR and Major Events, at Tourism New Zealand says, “Luxperience offers a unique opportunity to meet with some of the world’s most exclusive luxury travel providers, directly supporting our work to develop and grow the premium sector in New Zealand.

“In our third year as a key partner our presence will be bigger than ever before with 34 of New Zealand’s premium operators attending with us to meet key global contacts. As a sector that holds great growth potential, we are looking forward to once again showcasing New Zealand’s unique luxury tourism product to the right buyers and media that Luxperience delivers for attendees.”

Luxperience 2014’s Post Touring Programme also includes three stand-out high end tourism experiences in New Zealand, created in conjunction with the tourism board for global buyers.

Each trip runs from 4 to 7 September 2014:
  • Southern Alpine Experience – Canterbury, New Zealand
  • Volcanoes, Hobbits and Lodges – Central North Island, New Zealand
  • A Bird’s Eye View of the South Island – Queenstown and Wanaka, New Zealand
