Women Entering the Workforce Suit Up to Receive Accor Advantage

Accor Advantage Plus is delighted to announce that it has entered into a formal partnership with Dress for Success Sydney, a registered charity that supports women in need entering the workforce by providing professional clothing and practical advice in preparation for job interviews.

Accor Advantage Plus is Accor Hotel's subscription loyalty membership program and one of the most expansive travel, dining and lifestyle programs in Asia Pacific.

As part of the partnership, Accor Advantage Plus has launched a tailored employment program with Dress for Success Sydney, and in conjunction with the Department of Corrective Services NSW, to assist women back into employment.

Many of the women who approach Dress for Success Sydney have found themselves in severe financial hardship, suffered domestic violence or have spent time in a correctional facility.

Accor Advantage Plus has a long history of giving people who have fallen on hard times an opportunity to make a fresh start and take home a pay packet through its training and support programs.

CEO of Accor Advantage Plus, Louise Daley, said “Our training and support programs have enabled hundreds of individuals to gain employment with us with little or no work experience.”

“We are absolutely thrilled to officially partner with Dress for Success Sydney and assist capable women to rebuild their careers and personal lives through regaining confidence and financial stability.”

“Dress for Success Sydney plays a vital role in supporting women who need assistance in entering or returning to the workforce, and we are excited to be partnering with an organisation that makes a real difference in the community.”

Dress for Success will nominate candidates who meet the selection criteria for the position of Loyalty Sales Consultant and they will follow the same selection process as all candidates applying for roles with Accor Advantage Plus.

Successful candidates will be required to meet the same key performance indicators set for all sales consultants within the six month probationary period. Candidates will also receive a nationally recognised certificate on completion of the sales training.

Founder and Chair of Dress for Success Sydney, Megan Etheridge OAM, said “What a wonderful opportunity for the clients of Dress for Success Sydney. This partnership with Accor Advantage Plus builds on a significant relationship built over the last five years and will positively impact on the lives of women needing support and encouragement to achieve their goal of economic self-sufficiency.”

“We welcome this initiative from Accor Advantage Plus and acknowledge with pride their commitment to the service provided by Dress for Success Sydney.”

Dress for Success Sydney has supported over 6,000 women since opening in 2009. Over 15% of clients are under 20 years of age and over 20% of Dress for Success Sydney clients are over 45 years. Indigenous women make up 11% of clients.

The Accor Hotel Group has been a partner of Dress for Success Sydney for over five years with its brands including Pullman, Novotel, Mercure and Ibis supporting the charity with hosting events and clothing donations.
