Catch a Crab has announced that work has commenced on the new marine environment centre. Due to open in November 2014 the land based attraction is located at Catch a Crab's departure point Birds Bay Oyster Farm.
The new centre will feature exciting and interactive displays of marine and birdlife of the local estuarine waterways with touch tanks, fish and bird feeding activities , informative displays and commentaries combined with exciting photo opportunities and of course THE GIANT CRAB.
For those who have already been on the catch a crab tour or who do not have time in their itinerary to take the boat tour, they will now have the opportunity to join the oyster farm tour. The new tour will be themed on the local marine environment featuring the famous terranora lakes oysters & mudcrabs.
The new tour will offer loads of exciting photo opportunies, interactive displays and activities including oyster and wine tasting. Exciting new seafood options will also be on the menu with the expansion of the oyster farm riverside cafe.
