July 2014 marks the launch of the Northern Territory's newest home grown hotel chain – Élan Soho Suites.
Élan Soho Suites is Darwin's newest 4.5* hotel, located in Woods Street, Darwin City. The property offers 301 hotel rooms incorporating one and two bedroom apartments.
The mezzanine level at Élan Soho Suites boasts a dedicated conference floor housing six event spaces each fitted with state of the art technology and modern fittings. The conference floor, bathed in natural light, can cater for both large and small events, from 15 to 400 delegates.
Élan Soho Suites will introduce Darwin's first ever Korean Barbeque restaurant, Seoul Food, a modern take on an international flavour already taking Australian taste buds by storm.
Multi Award winning Korean chef and published author, Chung Jae Lee, founder and former Executive Chef of Mapo Korean restaurant in Adelaide, will showcase Korean cuisine and reveal some of the skills that earned him numerous awards including '2012 Best Chef SA Award' and '2012 State Champion 'Flavours of the World' Lifestyle Food Award'.
“I have had the opportunity over the past few years to showcase my take on Korean cuisine in Sydney and Adelaide and now it is Darwin's turn to taste world class Korean!” Chung Jae said.
Élan Hotels General Manager, Steve Frichot says “Élan Soho Suites is bringing many firsts to the Northern Territory – including Darwin's first Korean Barbeque Restaurant and Darwin's first hotel to offer mobile check-ins / check-outs via guest's smart phones.”
“Élan is a French word meaning 'momentum' with 'style' and we believe our modern hotel and restaurant will symbolise the modern pace of life, which resonates with our young population.”
“Our new Élan Hotels brand shows the confidence and strength we have in the community and for the growth in the Northern Territory. We are focused on positive outcomes for the Northern Territory and have dedicated at least twenty-five per cent of the hotel's inventory to tourism, leisure and conferencing markets.”
Élan Soho Suites is scheduled to open in July 2014.
