Far North Queensland has a new Grande Dame…
Introducing Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore, in combination with Nu Nu's
Vievers and Triton Holdings Limited is proud to announce its purchase
of the property formally known as Angsana Resort & Spa in Palm Cove
from global hoteliers, the Banyan Tree.
After an extensive $1m refurbishment, Vievers & Triton Holdings
has spent the past 12 months recruiting the team that will transform the
property, returning it to the pinnacle of Australia's boutique
resorts.
At the helm is the multi award-winning Lancemore Group, seeing its
expansion into the Queensland market. The Lancemore Group commenced
management of the hotel and spa in February and has rebranded the
property Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore.
Locally loved and critically acclaimed Nu Nu's Restaurant will now be
located within the hotel, boasting a 169-seat restaurant and direct
beachfront access. Currently in the final stages of a significant
refurbishment, the restaurant will be open for business from the end of
the month.
Chief Executive Officer of The Lancemore Group, Julian Clark, is delighted about the new management agreement.
“This is an exciting development for the owners and the Lancemore Group. Both
the hotel and spa have been multi-award winners in the past and with
the refurbishment and new team, we are committed to restoring this
property to the apex of Australian boutique resorts.”
Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore cements The
Lancemore Group as Australia's leading boutique hotel and spa operator.
Alamanda joins the group's stable of award-winning properties in
Victoria including; Mansion Hotel & Spa at Werribee Park, Lindenderry at Red Hill, Lindenwarrah at Milawa and Lancemore Hill at Macedon Ranges.
Mr. Clark said the Lancemore Group's move into Far North Queensland
was a considered one, “we are very selective about what hotels we
embrace in our portfolio and which destinations we enter.
“Far North Queensland has been in Lancemore's sights for the past 18
months as it's really getting its mojo back after a number of tough
years. There is optimism in the air and we are thrilled to be a part of
the region's anticipated growth in the coming decade,” said Mr Clark.
Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore is the
only beachfront resort in Palm Cove, with merely palms and sand standing
between the resort's suites and the ocean. Alamanda also houses one of
Australia's premier day spas, The Alamanda Spa, featuring eight
treatment rooms that front the ocean, three of which are open air with
their own plunge pools.
Equally as exciting as the hotel and spa management changes is the
coup Vievers & Triton had in luring multi-award winning Nu Nu's
Restaurant, headed up by Nick Holloway (ex-Head Chef Pearl Melbourne).
“I have fantasised about having a restaurant there and now it's come
true. We'll be going from a 69-seat restaurant to a 169-seat restaurant
with the only absolute beachfront in Palm Cove. After ten years it was
time to move. We'll be open seven days a week and serving breakfasts,
lunches and dinners,” said Mr Holloway.
Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemoreis the
complete destination hotel, with 69 extra-large luxury apartments (room
size starting at 85sqm), a multi-award winning day spa, three pools, the
critically acclaimed Nu Nu's Restaurant and the only wedding chapel on
the beach, in Far North Queensland.
Alamanda Palm Cove by Lancemore is just a 25-minute drive from Cairns International Airport, in the heart of Palm Cove.
