There are exciting times ahead! With a new Council comes a new direction for Cairns Festival 2013.
A kaleidoscope of colours, sounds, sights, flavours and fun is set to transform Cairns at the end of August when the 2013 Cairns Festival unfolds along the city’s Esplanade foreshore.
Planning is well underway for the iconic event which unites the community in a celebration and sharing of culturally diverse traditions, dance, food, performances, exhibitions, concerts and all the things we love about living in Cairns.
Over the coming weeks, exciting announcements will be made about how to get involved with the festival in traditional and social media sources, as well as our website.
Of course, the festival will feature the key events it’s renowned for, including: the Grand Parade & Fireworks and Carnival on Collins.
During the next six months, festival staff will be working with the many hundreds of stallholders, performers, community organisation members and tireless volunteers to bring you an event worthy of the Cairns community.
