Hopeless Romantics Look For Love 268m High on Sydney's Highest Blind Date

Four singles looking for love this Valentine's Day took part in Sydney's highest blind date on the SKYWALK at the Sydney Tower Eye

Thursday the 14th at The Sydney Tower Eye, four hopeful singles from dating site CitySwoon took to the sky to find love at 268m above street level. In a novel way to secure a date this Valentine's Day, the brave romantics took part in Sydney's highest blind date.

Sydneysider, Aaron Clancy was blindfolded out on the SKYWALK where he quizzed three ladies on a series of questions in a hope to find love. Questioned on their ideal superpowers, daredevil levels and the most embarrassing thing they have ever done, the nervous ladies did their best to impress Aaron all the way through the quiz, all vying to be picked.

In just 15 minutes Aaron had made his decision and chose Claudia Caspers from Randwick and his blindfold was revealed to meet Claudia against the breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline.

"I was quite nervous to start with. I have never taken part in a blind date before and it was a little more daunting when it was at 268m. It was really exhilarating. Once the blindfold was removed and I saw Claudia up against the stunning Sydney backdrop, I thought all my luck had come at once. I'm pleased with my choice and I'm looking forward to see how things develop."

"At CitySwoon we have seen a lot of interesting venue suggestions for dates but never one quite this breathtaking. To be able to soak up stunning views of Sydney on the SKYWALK on Valentine's Day has to be one of those memorable and romantic things to do. I'm so pleased the guys decided to have a go and get involved - Valentine's Day is about love, but you should have fun in the process", said Brett Couston co-founder of CitySwoon.

Kristy Enright, Sydney Tower Eye spokesperson said, "The views from the Sydney Tower Eye provide the perfect backdrop for a date - even though Aaron had to wait a little longer to enjoy it than the others. This is such a lovely way to celebrate Valentine's Day. We regularly have couples coming out on the SKYWALK to admire the views together and even proposing. We are really excited for Aaron and Claudia and will be staying tuned to see if any love blossoms for them. Sydney Tower Eye has also just launched the new private SKYWALK tours for two - perfect for a romantic date with your loved one."
