I had the pleasure of staying at this newly opened 4-star serviced apartments last week, and I must say, my time there was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, every aspect of the hotel contributed to a stay that was both refreshing and unforgettable.

Since its grand opening in December 2024, Veriu Macquarie Park has quickly become a standout choice for travelers seeking a stylish, modern escape. The hotel’s sleek and contemporary design caught my eye immediately, and I was eager to see how well it balanced aesthetic appeal with practical luxury. My Veriu Suite, situated on the 17th floor, was nothing short of a sanctuary. Covering a generous 28 square meters, it offered breathtaking views, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge in the distance. The suite provided a tranquil, peaceful retreat — the perfect setting to relax and recharge after a busy day.

From the moment I stepped into the suite, I was greeted by the peaceful, clean, and incredibly comfortable atmosphere — it truly was the perfect retreat. The plush king bed enveloped me in luxury, offering restful nights that felt like drifting into a cloud. With individually controlled air conditioning and heating, I was able to create the ideal environment for ultimate relaxation.

A Home Away From Home

What really set my suite apart was the fully equipped kitchen. As someone who loves the occasional home-cooked meal, having a full-sized fridge, dish drawer, oven, hot plates, and microwave made my stay all the more convenient. The Nespresso coffee machine with pods became my favorite morning treat, ensuring I had a perfect start to each day. For those moments when I needed to catch up on work, the sleek desk was an ideal place to set up. And when I wanted to unwind, the smart TV offered a variety of entertainment options, making it easy to relax after a busy day. 

The suite also featured a washing machine and dryer, adding a convenient touch that made my stay feel even more like home. High-speed Wi-Fi kept me connected throughout my stay, whether I was working remotely or simply catching up on emails. The combination of modern amenities and thoughtful touches truly made my stay at Veriu Macquarie Park an absolute joy.

I did get a chance to see the hotel’s terrace area, which looked like a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the fresh air, though I didn’t have time to fully enjoy it during my stay. It’s the perfect space to unwind after a busy day.

For business travelers like me, the hotel also provides a business lounge and meeting rooms, making it a top choice for conferences or meetings. The 24-hour reception was a nice touch, ensuring that any request, big or small, was handled promptly, no matter the time of day.

I made use of the on-site gym, which offered a great variety of cardio and weight-based equipment. It was the perfect way to keep my fitness routine going during my stay. Afterward, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Smith's Collective Café, located conveniently on the ground floor. The café’s continental breakfast, which included fresh pastries, cheeses, fruits, and juices, was a delightful way to start each morning.

The location of Veriu Macquarie Park is truly one of its defining features. Set in the heart of Sydney’s thriving business and technology precinct, it offers convenient access to Macquarie University and Macquarie Hospital, both just a short distance away. For shopping, dining, and entertainment, Macquarie Shopping Centre is the perfect destination, offering a wide variety of stores, restaurants, and even a cinema. If you're looking for a little fun, the centre also boasts an ice skating rink — a great spot for both seasoned skaters and beginners alike. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Lane Cove National Park, with its lush greenery and recreational activities, is just a short drive away.

One of my personal favorite evening activities was heading into the city to experience some of the incredible musical productions on offer. Sydney’s vibrant theatre scene always adds an extra layer of magic to any trip, and being able to easily access the city from Veriu Macquarie Park made it all the more convenient. The nearby metro train made getting into the heart of Sydney quick and hassle-free, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the city's cultural offerings without worrying about transportation.
