Escape to Paradise: New Jetstar Direct Flights from Gold Coast to Bali Take Off

Jetstar has just unveiled its latest travel offering — direct flights between the Gold Coast and Bali (Denpasar) launching on 1 August 2025. This exciting new route makes Jetstar the first low-cost carrier to connect the glittering Gold Coast with the tropical beauty of Bali non-stop, making travel to one of Australia's favourite overseas destinations simpler, cheaper, and more convenient.

The addition of this route strengthens Jetstar’s position as the largest airline flying to and from the Gold Coast, with the carrier continuing to grow its international network and invest in Queensland tourism.

More seats, more sunshine

With three flights a week, the new service will introduce more than 58,000 affordable seats annually between the Gold Coast and Bali. Operated by Jetstar’s newest Airbus A320neo aircraft, the flights promise improved fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.

Whether it’s a beach escape, cultural adventure, or a quick tropical recharge, this route offers a new level of flexibility and accessibility for travellers based in Southeast Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

Stephanie Tully, Jetstar Group CEO, said the launch responds directly to customer demand. “Bali is our most popular international destination and it’s easy to understand why — from its beaches and resorts to its food and affordability. We’re thrilled to connect Gold Coast travellers directly to this iconic destination.”

Bali demand drives new opportunity

Queensland Airports Limited CEO, Amelia Evans, highlighted the significance of the new service, noting that over 130,000 passengers have travelled between the two regions in the past two years alone.

“This is a huge win for the region,” said Evans. “It gives locals greater choice and makes one of their favourite holiday spots even more accessible.”
