Expanding Horizons, One City at a Time

Cathay Pacific has taken another bold step in its global expansion with the launch of direct passenger flights between Hong Kong and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Officially launched on 24 April 2025, this route not only marks the sixth new passenger destination added by the Cathay Group this year, but also underscores its dedication to strengthening ties between Asia and North America.

As a key move in its strategic network growth, this new service enhances connectivity for both business and leisure travellers, offering seamless access between the heart of Texas and Cathay’s home hub of Hong Kong.

From Hong Kong to the Heart of Texas

The introduction of Dallas into Cathay Pacific’s network opens the gateway to one of America’s most vibrant and economically dynamic cities. With four weekly return flights operated by the cutting-edge Airbus A350-1000, the airline promises a smooth and comfortable journey across the Pacific.

Passengers can choose from Business, Premium Economy, and Economy Class, each offering thoughtfully designed cabins and attentive service. The schedule caters to both regional and international travellers, with flights departing Hong Kong at 16:05 and returning from Dallas at 22:55 every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Strengthening the Bridge Between East and West

Cathay Pacific’s growing network demonstrates its commitment to being a connector of people, cultures, and commerce. The addition of Dallas boosts the airline’s North American portfolio to eight destinations, including New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and Chicago. This is set to reach over 100 global destinations within the first half of 2025.

For travelers flying into Dallas, the city serves as a strategic hub with easy connections to domestic routes across the United States, and onward links to Central and South America. For outbound travellers from Dallas, the new route offers quick access to Hong Kong and beyond, including cities across mainland China and Southeast Asia.

More Destinations, More Possibilities

This year alone, Cathay Pacific has announced 15 new destinations, with more still to come. In addition to Dallas, the airline is preparing to launch flights to Urumqi, Rome, Munich, and Brussels in the coming months.

Cathay Cargo also complements the new passenger route, maintaining its strong presence in Dallas through existing freighter services. Together, the passenger and cargo operations demonstrate Cathay’s commitment to providing comprehensive service to the global market.
