| Fansipan Rose Festival 2025 |
From April 26 to May 5, the Fansipan Rose Festival 2025 will bring a kaleidoscope of colors and culture to the highlands of Sa Pa. Taking place at the Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area, the festival returns with the theme “Sparkling Among the Clouds,” promising an unforgettable floral journey nestled in the clouds of Vietnam’s northern mountains.
Vietnam’s Largest Rose Valley in Full Bloom
The heart of the festival lies in Fansipan’s sprawling 50,000m² rose valley—Vietnam’s largest of its kind. This vast garden is home to hundreds of thousands of rose bushes representing dozens of prized varieties from around the world, including the Sa Pa ancient rose, Juliet, Black Baccarat, Abraham Darby, and Spirit of Freedom. It’s a sensory delight, with vibrant colors and heady fragrances surrounding visitors in every direction.
To make the experience even more enchanting, the valley features new artistic miniatures: giant roses, rose-shaped books, whimsical angel-lined flower paths, floral hot air balloons, and princess-like installations. With these picturesque scenes, every step through the valley feels like a stroll through a fairytale.
An Experience for All the Senses
The festival isn’t just about roses. It’s a multi-sensory celebration for visitors of all ages. The “Sweet Market,” a culinary and shopping area inspired by roses, serves up rose-themed delicacies including rose tea, rose ice cream, and floral pastries. Visitors can relax with a cup of tea while enjoying traditional music and lively performances under the crisp mountain air.
Cultural games and activities, such as “Carrying Love to Pick Roses” and “Northwest Dance,” are hosted throughout the grounds. These interactive events bring joy and laughter, along with a chance for visitors to win prizes and immerse themselves in local traditions.
A Carnival of Color in the Streets of Sa Pa
One of the festival’s standout events is the rose carnival parade. Electric cars, horse-drawn carriages, and 300 ethnic artisans adorned with thousands of roses wind their way from Sun World Fansipan Legend to the center of Sa Pa town. This vibrant parade brings the festive spirit into the streets and celebrates the beauty and diversity of Northwest Vietnamese culture.
Journey to the Roof of Indochina
Beyond the festival lies a deeper cultural and natural experience. A short distance away is Ban May, a traditional village where seven highland ethnic groups live in harmony. Visitors can witness craftspeople at work, join folk games, and savor the local cuisine—featuring dishes like grilled black chicken, mountain pork, fresh stream fish, and sticky rice.
With a combo ticket priced at just 950,000 VND for adults and 700,000 VND for children, guests receive access to the Fansipan cable car and a traditional meal at Ban May, making it an ideal day trip full of value and variety.
