Scenic World’s rainforest comes alive after dark
Nocturnal
The magic of the Blue Mountains doesn’t fade with the sun — in fact, it shines even brighter. After a sold-out debut season, Nocturnal returns to Scenic World, reimagined and more immersive than ever. Until 11 May 2025, this stunning nighttime experience transforms the World Heritage-listed rainforest into a dazzling realm of light, sound, and storytelling.
Curated by Laservision, this second season of Nocturnal celebrates the 80th anniversary of Scenic World with a brand-new sensory journey through Gundungurra Country. The rainforest becomes your theatre, with holographic wildlife, projection-mapped rock faces, glowing tree canopies, and the thrill of Scenic World’s iconic rides — all under the stars.
A journey through light, sound, and story
This year’s Nocturnal invites visitors to step into an enchanted world where nature, culture, and cutting-edge technology merge. Among the new highlights:
- A holographic lyrebird basking in moonlight
- A glowing forest path decoding the secret language of the trees
- Light projections that honour the local landscape and history
- A ride into the dark on the world’s steepest railway
- Soaring above the rainforest aboard the Skyway and Cableway
- Watching the Three Sisters shine against the night sky
These moments are not just visual spectacles — they are crafted to evoke emotion, curiosity, and awe.
