World's Greatest Pub Fest

A quirky, moving festival around Maryborough's historic pubs with thousands of revellers dressing in outrageous costumes – all in the name of raising money for charity.  This year, it's the Alzheimer's Association.

Mary Poppins Festival

Hervey Bay Whale FestivalThe world's most unique whale watching destination celebrates its amazing relationship with the whales with a month long festival. Includes lantern parade, blessing of the fleet, 'Paddle out for Whales”, lecture series and workshops.

RACQ Technology Challenge

This amazing race towards the future involves hundreds of studentscompeting in one of the most gruelling endurance races for teenagers. It's the feature event of the RACQ Technology Challenge, where students design, build and race machines that harness alternative energy.

27-28 September
