As far back as 4000BC, the Egyptians used STICK FIGURE art to tell stories and pass on messages….Hieroglyphics were the CHRONICLE NEWS, EMAIL, FACEBOOK and TWITTER of the time.

Over the generations, SINGLE LINES became a powerful form of art – Michelangelo’s famous PERFECT CIRCLE is one of art history’s best known ONE LINERS. (That’s if you discount “Is that a gun in your pocket…..?” or “Don’t call me Actually.” Or “Go ahead, make my day.” Or “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn.” Or “Are you talkin’ to me?” or “Doesn’t that bloke ever shut up?”)

Then to more modern times, Leslie Charteris made Stick Figures world famous when he introduced us to Simon Templar and THE SAINT over 80 years ago.

And now, we invite you to join in the STICK FIGURE ART CHALLENGE at the Muswellbrook Creative Arts Fair (NSW, Australia) in October when we will present the FIRST EVER Charteris Awards of Australia for Stick Figure Art.

You never know where your Stick Figure Art could lead you….Michelangelo got the Sistine Chapel contract and Leslie Charteris made a fortune from The Saint – one of the world’s enduring LOGOS.

This could be your chance to become a cult figure in the international STICK FIGURE ART world.
