Spain Celebrates Contemporary Chamber Music with Alicante Actual Festival

Every year the city of Alicante in Spain celebrates a date with contemporary chamber music with the Alicante Actual concert series. An extensive varied programme of 20th- and 21st-century music is offered over the season – an unmissable event for lovers of new chamber music.

The event is held at the Regional Government Alicante Auditorium (ADDA) and intends to introduce the public to avant-garde musical creation through recitals, concerts and true premières, as well as other activities such as exhibitions, course and workshops.

The Alicante Actual series is organised by the National Centre for Music Dissemination and is co-produced by the Alicante Regional Government in collaboration with the city council.

This year the musical extravaganza will be held from October 8 till May 20, 2014.
