Nauradehi Sanctuary and the Rani Durgavati Sanctuary |
This remarkable initiative, set to unfold in the Damoh district, involves amalgamating two existing sanctuaries, namely the Nauradehi Sanctuary and the Rani Durgavati Sanctuary.
Encompassing an expansive 2,300 square kilometers, the forthcoming sanctuary is anticipated to become a crucial haven for tigers, simultaneously bolstering tourism and contributing to the conservation of this majestic species.
Scheduled to be completed within the next two to three months, the sanctuary will be strategically located in the Jabera area of Daboh.

With a current tiger population of 16 in the region, the merging of these sanctuaries is expected to attract more tigers, facilitating an upswing in their numbers.
The creation of the largest tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh stands as a testament to the commitment to preserving biodiversity and fostering sustainable tourism in the region.
