Sydney’s restaurants and bars rolling out special Women’s World Cup offers and menus to get fans even more excited

zThe Women’s World Cup has been incredible to watch – and the finals are shaping up to be unmissable. Sydney continues to be the heart of the action, so whether you have a ticket to the Final or not, now’s the time to soak up the city’s vibrant atmosphere and get excited about watching the thrilling final stages – while enjoying some Women’s World Cup football food and drink specials. 

 

Sydney has some incredible spots to grab a drink and enjoy a bite to eat before, during or after the game, with many venues offering special football-related offers and deals to help fans get into the spirit. 

 

  • FIFA Fan Festival - The fun and free FIFA Fan Festival at Darling Harbour’s Tumbalong Park brings together football fans, families and fun-seekers with a buzzing festival atmosphere where visitors can watch the tournament live on the big screens. It runs for the duration of the tournament and offers a diverse range of street eats, covering European, Asian, North American, African and Caribbean cuisine, as well as plenty of Aussie favourites including Josh Niland’s exclusive Yellowfin Tuna Cheeseburger. 
  • Lotus - In honour of the Women's World Cup, Barangaroo’s Lotus is serving green and gold chicken and veggie dumplings, along with an exclusive 'Go Matildas!' cocktail crafted from Bombay Sapphire Gin, Midori, Cointreau, lemon juice, sugar syrup, and topped with a luscious homemade passion fruit foam. 
  • Winghaus – Whilst German fans will be disappointed by the team’s early exit, throughout the tournament, Winghaus is infusing its German fried chicken wings with an international touch, presenting a selection of 10 limited-edition internationally-inspired wing flavours. Drop into its Sydney venues to try them. 
  • The Bavarian – The Bavarian’s venues across the city, from York St and World Square to the Entertainment Quarter and Manly Wharf are getting in on the action with a couple of special offers. During the tournament, you can enjoy its Schnitzels & Towers combo of two giant schnitzels of your choice, plus a tower of beer/twisted beer for $59. Diners who buy a full-priced meal can also win a free drink if their team wins.   
  • Woollahra Hotel - Rich in tradition since the 1930's, The Woollahra Hotel is a local favourite in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. The big screens with be playing both matches this weekend throughout the venue. Their Game Day Special during all matches is any burger (including their hugely popular Victor Churchill Beef Burger) and any beer for $30. 
  • Clock Hotel - The Clock in Surry Hills is screening both ganes live and loud with free Margaritas for the first goal the Matildas score. To be eligible, you need to complete the form online, show your confirmation email (or a screenshot of it) to staff on arrival and collect your wristband, then when they score show your wristband. 
  • Braza Churrascaria - Things didn’t go to plan for the Brazilian team, but Darling Harbour’s Brazilian barbeque restaurant Braza Churrascaria is continuing the celebrations with a selection of Women's World Cup offers. Grab The Monstrous burger, that’s two homemade grilled beef patty with bacon, lettuce, red onion, tomato, cheese, mustard and chipotle aioli, for $32. Or choose from a range of hot iron plates from $36.  
  • Pumphouse Bar and Restaurant  Pumphouse Sydney is offering a new limited-edition ‘Never Say Daiquiri’ cocktail based on the Matildas’ ‘Never Say Die’ motto. It’s made of a mix of mango, Bacardi rum, sugar syrup, lime juice with lime wheel and topped with a lemon spiral and is $18.   
  • Betty’s Burgers – Betty’s Burgers Darling Harbour is offering a $10 Kids Meal throughout the tournament, which could be a great grab and go option for fans heading to the FIFA Fan Festival with the family and looking for familiar favourite. 
  • Gelatissimo – Keen for dessert after cheering on your team? Gelatissimo, Darling Harbour is celebrating with a hot waffle with decorated football inspired gelato. Grab one waffle for $10 or two waffles for $12. 
  • Ichoume - Ichoume's colourful, retro-izakaya at Darling Harbour is serving up a delicious combo of beer and tacos for just $20! Diners can choose from three kinds of tacos – potato and bacon, spicy prawn and avocado, and sweet soy chicken, plus tap beer or a glass of white, red or sparkling pet nat.
