Aussie’s top Father’s Day getaway destinations revealed!

Sydney
Booking.com has today released its latest search data to reveal the top Aussie travel trends* for this Father’s Day on September 3rd.

With Australia’s iconic harbour city, Sydney, taking out the top spot, followed by the sandy shores of the Gold Coast, and our cultural hub Melbourne in third, there's a special holiday for every type of dad this Father’s Day!

The beautiful Hamilton Island, increasing 41 spots in the Booking.com Father’s Day search data list, at number nine, is a front runner this Father’s Day - with many Aussie’s looking to treat dad to a relaxing island escape, seeking the clear blue waters and warmer weather.

Booking.com also found that 58% of travellers are prioritising multigenerational travel in 2023, with families travelling with three or more generations - showing that travel and quality time is top of the list this Father’s Day.

Some Aussie’s are also looking beyond our shores to treat dad to an international holiday, with Bali taking out two spots in the top with top picks like sunny Seminyak in first and Kuta in fifth position. Big city London takes out second, with Tokyo coming in third, increasing 86 spots, followed by Singapore in fourth place.
