The uninhabited rock island of Mitsukejima

Escape the city and recharge on the uninhabited rock island of Mitsukejima in Ishikawa Prefecture, a popular viewing spot for the tranquil sunrise.

Standing 28 meters above sea level, visitors can walk out toward the rock in low tide. At night, the rock is illuminated, creating an idyllic and romantic sight.

A particularly popular spot for couples there is the Enmusu-beach, 3.5km southwest along the coast from Mitsukejima Island.

This beach is named after "Enmusubi," which means matchmaking in Japanese, and the on-site "Matchmaking Bell" is said to bless good romantic relations to all who rings it!
