Santa Fe |
“Santa Fe continues to be one of America's most popular cities, and for good reason,” says Mayor Alan Webber. “Look at all of the amazing fiestas, cultural and artistic events that are part of our heritage–and that continue to draw our own residents and tourists to town. From the International Folk Art Market to Spanish Market, from the Santa Fe Opera to music on the Plaza, Santa Fe is the place to be!”
For the first time, Santa Fe resort Bishop's Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection, ranked as the #1 hotel in the category of “15 Best Resorts in the Western United States.” In addition to the win for Bishop's Lodge, Ten Thousand Waves took the #2 spot in the “15 Best Destination Spas in the U.S.” category.
An internationally beloved travel destination, Santa Fe has finished on the “Top 15 Cities in the U.S.” list for more than ten consecutive years, making it one of the most awarded cities and earning the designation as a World's Best Awards Hall of Fame Honoree. This year the top three city scores were separated by a mere 1.55 points.
“What an honor for the Santa Fe hospitality industry to claim a top spot again this year in the 2022 Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards,” says Randy Randall, Executive Director of TOURISM Santa Fe. “The fact that the readers' poll continues to rank Santa Fe one of the top destinations in the country is a testament to what a special place Santa Fe is. This designation confirms that travelers from around the country and the world know they will find a high quality experience here and those who have not yet visited must put The City Different on their list.”
New in 2022, Travel + Leisure compiled a list of the “5 Best Hotels in Santa Fe,” highlighting Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi, Inn of the Five Graces, La Fonda on the Plaza, Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado, and Inn and Spa at Loretto.
The complete list of awards is now available online at travelandleisure.com/worlds-best/worlds-best-2022 and will appear in the magazine's August 2022 print issue.
Congratulations to all the hard-working hoteliers, restaurateurs, attractions managers and independent business owners who continue to put Santa Fe on the map. And a heartfelt thank you to the visitors who continue to put Santa Fe at the top of their lists.
