Wilderness Safaris |
Tanzania is an East African country known for its wilderness areas that include the Serengeti National Park with the 'big five' game of elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and Kilimanjaro National Park, home to Africa’s highest mountain.
Offshore are the tropical islands of Zanzibar and Mafia, with a marine park that is home to whale sharks and coral reefs. Wayo Africa has a series of small and immersive camps in remote locations, including the southern section of Lake Manyara National Park, along with walking camps in the northern Serengeti.
They offer guided, multi-day walking safaris in all the remote Serengeti Wilderness Zones. Wilderness Safaris operates camps and safaris in some of Africa’s best wildlife and wilderness areas across Botswana, Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
In doing so it offers its guests private access to almost 2.3 million hectares of Africa’s most remote and pristine wildlife areas. Recognising that conservation is as much about people as about the environment, the company has two non-profit partners in Children in the Wilderness and the Wilderness Wildlife Trust.
The new relationship will see the joint training of staff among a range of measures designed to maximise a positive impact and empower local communities.
