Germany is looking to highlight its natural landscapes and attractions

A third of the country’s total area is covered in forests and there are12,000 lakes and thousands of rivers 

As such, Germany offers deep forests, clear lakes, blooming heathland and green valleys. 

There are also tidal flats and fine sandy beaches along with mountains with vineyards on river banks. 

The country has three UNESCO World Natural Heritage Sites, 16 UNESCO biosphere reserves, 16 national parks and 106 nature reserves. 

It offers 300,000 km of hiking trails and 76,000 km of cycle paths.
