The annual Women’s Week, in Provincetown, Cape Cod, is the biggest annual event for women

The organisers claim that whether it’s getting to see the best performers and comics in LBGT culture today, or just walking down Commercial Street holding hands with the woman in your life or basking in the sunlight and taking in the natural beauty of Provincetown, there is no festival on the planet that celebrates women like Women’s Week.

Over 300 events attract some of the most talented performers in the LGBTQ scene, with opera singers, comedians, actresses, authors and musicians coming to Provincetown for a week of celebration and entertainment and an array of events.

In addition to performances there are sporting tournaments, whale watching and dune tours. Art galleries feature works by female artists and host events celebrating women in art. Provincetown at the northern tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts is on the site of the Mayflower’s landing in 1620.

P-town has been a long-time haven for artists, lesbians and gay men.

Its galleries, restaurants, nightclubs, cabarets and specialty shops are clustered on and around lively Commercial Street.
