Guyana, on South America’s North Atlantic coast, is a country of dense rainforest

English-speaking, with a love of cricket and calypso music, it enjoys a stron Caribbean culture. 

The capital, Georgetown, is known for British colonial architecture. 

Guyana has been in the spotlight recently with Explorer The Last Tepui’, available on Disney+ following elite climber Alex Honnold and his team as they attempt to climb Mount Weiassipu. 

In addition, the documentary Primal Survivor: Escape the Amazon, focusses on Guyana’s rainforest. 

Wilderness Explorers, have launched a range of wild adventures including a trek to the rarely visited Uchi Falls on the Oshi River that is featured on Primal Survivor. 

The company is also running women-only tours, culinary trips and new experiences around the capital, Georgetown. 

The Latin American Travel Association (LATA) is represented by Lotus.
