Gregg Arthur & Warwick Alder play Chet Baker
Thursday 13 March, 7:30pmAustralian jazz legends vocalist Gregg Arthur and trumpeter Warwick Alder join forces to kick off Jazz at the Lounge in 2025 with a stunning tribute to the Prince of Cool, Chet Baker. Acclaimed for his iconic jazz tunes and innovations in Cool Jazz, American trumpeter and vocalist Chet Baker is best known for his renditions of hits like My Funny Valentine and Let’s Get Lost. Gregg and Warwick bring their own innovative take on the Chet Baker songbook alongside a line-up of jazz royalty: Peter Locke on piano, Craig Scott on bass, and Andrew Dickeson on drums.
Marsala World Music
Thursday 3 April, 7:30pmGet ready to dance, sing or just give in to the grooves when 2024 favourite Marsala returns to Jazz at the Lounge in 2025 with special guest vocalist Viktoria Bolonina. Led by the charismatic Joseph Zarb on vocals and guitar, Marsala has performed some of the best music from Cuba, Colombia, Brazil, Macedonia, Serbia, Bosnia, Russia, France, Italy, Spain, the Middle East and Zimbabwe for over 25 years. An incredibly versatile and multi-lingual singer, Viktoria Bolonina’s career has spanned the opera stage to The Voice. Dan Barnett Big Band
Thursday 8 May, 7:30pmAustralian singer, trombonist and bandleader Dan Barnett has been wowing audiences around the world with his 14-piece big band of top-shelf musicians for over 20 years. Hear the Dan Barnett Big Band perform timeless classics made famous by greats from Frank Sinatra to Ray Charles, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Glen Miller as well as new twists on old favourites. In this must-see performance at The Lounge, Dan and the band bring a finely picked selection of their most requested tunes, with blistering soloists and that powerful big band sound.
Andrew Dickeson: Celebrating Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers
Thursday 5 June, 7:30pmWash away the dust of your day with a night of soulful sounds and fiery swing at the Lounge when Australian jazz drummer Andrew Dickeson celebrates one of the world’s most famous jazz bands, Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers. Joined by four of Australia’s absolute finest – Simon Ferenci on trumpet, Hugh Barrett on piano, Jacob Graham on bass and rising star Justin Yeo on the saxophone – Andrew and his quartet honour the legendary drummer and his ensemble with an evening of foot-tapping swing, featuring classic Jazz Messengers repertoire, including Bobby Timmons’ hard bop anthem Moanin’ and much more.
Nicki Parrott Trio
Thursday 3 July, 7:30pmJoin internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist and bassist Nicki Parrott as she pays tribute to the legendary women of jazz. From the timeless melodies of Ella Fitzgerald and Doris Day to the sultry charm of Peggy Lee and Dinah Washington, Nicki brings her signature warmth and artistry to songs that inspire generations. Back home in Australia after 30 years of headlining in New York, Japan and Europe, Nicki joins forces with Sydney jazz icons Peter Locke on piano and Andrew Dickeson on drums, for a night of heartfelt performances at The Lounge celebrating the voices and stories of some of jazz’s leading ladies.
An Evening with the James Morrison Quartet
Thursday 21 August, 7:30pmExperience the artistry of one of Australia’s greatest musical showmen, multi-instrumentalist and jazz legend James Morrison, in an intimate evening of jazz at The Lounge. Renowned globally as one of the finest jazz players of his generation, James started playing professionally at age 13 leading to a stellar career: he has played alongside the world’s best jazz musicians - Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis and many more - and has had the privilege of performing for the President and First Lady of the United States. James says his favourite way to play is with his quartet - with his three colleagues on guitar, bass and drums, James plays anything from trombone, flugel horn and saxophone to piano, and of course the trumpet. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to hear James’s incredible musicality for the first time at The Lounge.
Emma Pask with her Jazz Trio Band
Thursday 4 September, 7:30pmPrepare to be spellbound when award-winning vocalist Emma Pask makes her debut at the Lounge with her Jazz Trio Band. Emma joined Australian jazz great James Morrison’s band when she was just 16 years old, going on to tour the world with Morrison for 20 years. Now one of Australia’s favourite voices in jazz, Emma is renowned for her effortless, honest stage presence and powerful vocals. While Emma’s voice and style are unique, and individually her own, her performances are reminiscent of the classic era of jazz, when swing was top of the charts.
Gregg Arthur: Up Close
Thursday 2 October, 7:30pmLose yourself in Australian singer songwriter Gregg Arthur’s warm baritone when he returns to the Lounge for an intimate concert of his own award-winning compositions alongside favourite jazz standards from the musicians who influenced his life in song. Endorsed by the biggest names in jazz and praised by his contemporaries and the press, Gregg follows in the footsteps of Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormé and Tony Bennett. Joined once again by Sydney jazz royalty Peter Locke on piano, Craig Scott on bass and Andrew Dickeson on drums – he sings the classics that inspired him and the new songs born out of that inspiration.

Described by James Morrison as possessing ‘a stage presence only matched by the clarity of her voice’, Paris-based Hetty Kate has toured internationally for over two decades to acclaim, gracing festival stages large and small from New Zealand to New York. Bringing her breezy vocals and trademark wit back to The Lounge, supported by a brilliant quartet line-up, come and hear why Hetty is not just another voice in the crowd!
Tedeschi – Jodrell – Undy: The Great American Songbook
Thursday 4 December, 7:30pmGet ready for a night of sizzling jazz! Trumpet dynamo Mat Jodrell, fresh from a decade lighting up New York’s jazz scene, teams up with two phenomenal talents: pianist Simon Tedeschi, who effortlessly bridges the worlds of classical and jazz, and bassist Cameron Undy, known across Australia for his groove and dynamism. Together, this powerhouse trio dives into the soulful blues and the rich sounds of American music from the last century. It’s a jazz journey you won’t want to miss!
