With a staggering 175 percent increase in searches, the Southeast Asian gem is leading a global movement toward relaxation and rejuvenation.

Vietnam’s appeal lies in its stunning natural landscapes, from serene beaches to lush tropical jungles, providing an immersive setting for wellness retreats. Visitors can indulge in traditional Vietnamese massages, herbal therapies, and meditation sessions, or unwind in natural thermal springs for a truly restorative experience.

Morocco follows closely behind, securing second place with an 84 percent increase in searches. The country’s spa culture is deeply rooted in history, with its iconic hammams offering centuries-old rituals of cleansing and relaxation. More recently, thalassotherapy—a treatment using seawater and marine-based products—has gained popularity, adding another layer to Morocco’s diverse wellness offerings.

Tied in third place, Albania and Romania are emerging as top choices for spa travelers, each experiencing an 83 percent increase in interest. Albania’s mix of coastal and mountainous landscapes makes it an ideal setting for relaxation, while Romania boasts one of Europe’s richest reserves of mineral and thermal springs. The country is also home to Therme Bucharest, a renowned spa complex that has gained fame on social media for its impressive facilities.

Africa is also making waves in the spa travel scene, with Gambia and Zimbabwe tying for fifth place at a 56 percent rise in searches. South Africa follows at seventh place, offering a unique blend of safari wellness experiences and high-end spa retreats set against breathtaking natural backdrops.

The trend extends across the globe, with destinations such as Barbados, Cambodia, Seychelles, and South Korea all seeing significant growth in spa-related searches. These countries offer a mix of luxury resorts, traditional healing treatments, and nature-based wellness escapes, catering to a wide range of spa-goers.
