Marina Bay Sands’ ultra-luxurious Paiza Collection has been accorded the distinguished Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating, as a nod towards the luxury transformation taking place at the iconic integrated resort.

Regarded as the industry’s global benchmark for luxury hospitality, the independent Forbes Travel Guide assesses luxury hotels, restaurants, spas and ocean cruises based on over 900 exacting standards.

The milestone achievement comes at a time when the Paiza Collection, first unveiled in late 2023, was fully rolled out to VIP guests upon its completion in November 2024.

Marina Bay Sands joins an elite group, together with three other hotels in Singapore and a total of 1,548 hotels globally, with the coveted Five-Star status. The rating is given to properties which deliver an outstanding experience and demonstrate expertise in consistently offering a highly customised level of service.

Tane Picken, Senior Vice President and Chief Hospitality Officer of Marina Bay Sands, said, “It is our honour to receive the Five-Star award following the recent completion of The Paiza Collection. This is a nod towards our significant commitment to the future of luxury hospitality. Over the past few years, we’ve made a strategic investment into elevating our hospitality experience, from the product to design excellence and service delivery. This industry recognition will spur us to continue delivering an outstanding experience that is setting new benchmarks in luxury travel.”

“Marina Bay Sands continues to be a standout property on our annual list for the 11th consecutive year,” said Amanda Frasier, President, Standards & Ratings, Forbes Travel Guide. “As the demand and focus on uniquely curated experiences continues to rise, we are proud to now welcome The Paiza Collection at Marina Bay Sands as one of our newest Five-Star award winners. The hotel notably earned this recognition within its first year of operation and we send our congratulations to the entire staff and leadership on these well-earned and significant achievements.”

Marina Bay Sands’ ongoing transformation has seen the launch of two hotel collections – The Paiza Collection and The Sands Collection – with approximately 1,850 rooms including 775 suites.

A major focus of the transformation has been on increasing the number of suites to cater to increasing demand for luxury travel, to 775 suites from 180. The Paiza Collection is dedicated to the property’s most distinguished guests, with best-in-class suites and exceptional service offered by in-house butlers.

In the Forbes Travel Guide evaluation report, independent inspectors complimented frontline Team Members’ dedication to providing world-class service across wide-ranging touchpoints including arrival and departure services, guest comfort and convenience, housekeeping and hotel dining. During their anonymous stay, the inspectors found that Team Members showed genuine interest in guests and demonstrated initiative, for example with butlers tailoring itineraries for guests to experience the art installations around the integrated resort as well as the rest of the city and presenting pastries to guests upon departure.

The property’s vibrant dining scene was also honoured, with one-Michelin starred celebrity chef restaurant Waku Ghin retaining its Five-Star award, as well as one-Michelin starred celebrity chef restaurant CUT by Wolfgang Puck and Spago Dining Room retaining their Four-Star ratings. Another notable achievement was Chinese restaurant Mott 32 clinching the Recommended Rating for the first time.

The Paiza Collection comprises exclusive spaces such as the Paiza VIP Arrival and Paiza Sky Residence, a club lounge with sky-high views. Guests are offered best-in-class service throughout the hotel, supported by their dedicated butler round the clock.

THE PAIZA JOURNEY

Located at the heart of Marina Bay and on the highest floors of the architectural marvel, The Paiza Collection represents the pinnacle of timeless luxury and grandeur. Highlights include the Horizon Suite dedicated to spa and wellness, the Presidential Suite with a state-of-the-art golf simulator or an entertainment room in some configurations, and the expansive Chairman Suite ideal for entertaining at scale. The collection also houses suites such as Paiza Signature Suite, Paiza Family Suite and Paiza Premier Suite, curated for different guest profiles and needs during their stay.

From arrival through departure, Paiza guests are taken on an exclusive journey. At the airport, they board one of 40 luxury vehicles – featuring luxury brands such as Rolls-Royce, Lexus and Mercedes – in the hotel’s fleet for their transfer to Marina Bay Sands. After alighting at a private arrival lobby, their personal butler escorts them to their suite through a private lift or guides them to Paiza Sky Residence, an executive club lounge set atop the hotel and reserved for Paiza guests. From day till night, guests can enjoy a leisurely breakfast and brunch, appreciate the elegant dance of the tea sommelier demonstrating a Kungfu tea ceremony and enjoy canapes and drinks at sundown. The guest experience also extends beyond the hotel, with invitations to high-profile events, luxury goods previews, wine tastings and more. A 160-strong team of butlers – one of the largest in the world – takes cares of all guests in this collection around the clock, ensuring an exceptional stay.
