Anaheim Gears Up for a Blockbuster Year with 160 Confirmed Events in 2025

Anaheim
Anaheim is set for a record-breaking year in 2025, with Visit Anaheim securing 160 conventions, meetings, and events that are expected to generate an economic impact of $1.4 billion (approximately AU$2.2 billion). The city’s thriving convention scene reinforces its reputation as a premier destination for world-class business gatherings and large-scale events.

The year kicked off with the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) in January, setting the stage for a packed calendar featuring marquee events such as Natural Products Expo West and VidCon. These high-profile gatherings are anticipated to draw nearly 900,000 attendees and fill over half a million hotel room nights, providing a significant boost to the local economy.

“With our new leadership team in place, Visit Anaheim has strategically strengthened our approach to meetings and conventions, driving record-breaking business to the destination,” said Mike Waterman, president and CEO of Visit Anaheim. “The economic impact from these events will not only benefit our hospitality industry but also uplift the entire Anaheim community.”

One of the most significant contributors to Anaheim’s convention economy is Natural Products Expo West, which alone is expected to bring in nearly $210 million (approximately AU$330 million). As visitors explore the city’s diverse dining, shopping, and entertainment options, the ripple effect of their spending will be felt throughout Anaheim’s hospitality sector.

Beyond direct economic benefits, the city anticipates $15 million (approximately AU$23 million) in tax revenue from these events. These funds will play a crucial role in supporting local infrastructure projects, public services, education, and public safety initiatives.

Anaheim’s ability to attract large-scale conventions year after year highlights its appeal as a top-tier meetings and events destination. With its world-class venues, robust hospitality industry, and proximity to Southern California’s renowned attractions, the city continues to set the standard for exceptional event experiences.

As 2025 unfolds, Anaheim’s convention success will not only bolster the local economy but also reinforce its position as a powerhouse for business tourism and large-scale gatherings.
