The whale watching season in Queensland is officially now open as 40,000 whales are making their way up Queensland's east coast - known as the 'humpback highway' - in an annual phenomenon expected to attract 127,000 domestic visitors to Queensland.
Domestic visitors to our state who went whale or dolphin watching has grown by 35.9 per cent over the past year, according to Tourism Research Australia
