The Yonago Gaina Festival

The Yonago Gaina Festival is a well-loved annual event that draws active participation from local residents. "Gaina" refers to a dialect from the western Tottori region, meaning "big." 

One of the festival's highlights is the Yonago Ina Manto lanterns. 

Initially, the Yonago Gaina Manto festival was launched with the aim of revitalizing the Gaina Festival and ensuring its preservation as a traditional performance art unique to Yonago. 

The Yonago Gaina Festival will end with an impressive fireworks show. The dazzling fireworks illuminating the summer night sky are truly breathtaking. 

Each year, both tourists and locals eagerly anticipate this display.
