SwimTrek, the leading provider of swimming adventures worldwide, is excited to announce a new partnership with Galapagos Conservation Trust (GCT). Through this collaboration, SwimTrek will donate 1% of its revenue from its Galapagos Explorer Trip to help support GCT's vital conservation projects in the Galapagos Islands.
This partnership highlights SwimTrek's commitment to responsible tourism and protecting and preserving the natural world in the locations they help swimmers from around the globe to discover. Their swimming trips are designed to minimise environmental impact while providing participants with an appreciation of the natural world. By partnering with conservation projects like GCT, SwimTrek is taking their sustainability efforts a step further. The partnership will support and raise awareness of GCT's initiatives to safeguard the unique biodiversity of the Galapagos, addressing challenges like invasive species, plastic pollution, and climate change.
“We are delighted to support GCT's efforts to conserve the Galapagos Islands. We believe that travel should be a force for good, and this partnership allows us to contribute to the preservation of one of the most remarkable ecosystems on the planet,” said Ash Van Wensveen Managing Director of SwimTrek. “This collaboration not only benefits the environment but also enriches the experience of SwimTrek's customers, who can now embark on their Galapagos swimming adventures with us, knowing they are helping to make a difference.”
Mike Crossley, Head of Fundraising and Communications from Galapagos Conservation Trust says: “GCT always seeks like-minded partners who are real allies, not simply donors, to enable us to drive meaningful change and protect the unique species and habitat in Galapagos. We hope that our new relationship with SwimTrek will be a great example of what we can achieve when we work together. Support from SwimTrek will make a real difference to the fragile ocean and island ecosystems in Galapagos and we look forward to working together.”
The partnership between SwimTrek and Galapagos Conservation Trust demonstrates how businesses and non-profit organizations can work together to create positive environmental change. In this instance, with the shared goal for the Galapagos' unique ecosystem to be protected and preserved.
