AUSTRALIAN REPTILE PARK TURNS 75

The Australian Reptile Park at Somersby is gearing up to celebrate its 75th birthday this spring school holidays.

Australian Reptile Park Director of the Tim Faulkner said: “It’s amazing to see how far this beautiful wildlife park has come!

It’s grown exponentially over the years, and it brings me so much joy that we’ve been able to continue to share our love and passion for wildlife with visitors from all over the world for 75 years!”

The Australian Reptile Park is Australia’s original hands-on zoo. Home to over 2,000 animals and located in a natural bush setting on the scenic Central Coast of New South Wales.

Here you can cuddle up to koalas, kangaroos, quokkas and dingoes or test your bravery and hold a massive python!

You can also learn about the lifesaving work the Park does through its antivenom program and important conservation work saving Australia’s wildlife through the charity Aussie Ark.

Only 60 minutes from Sydney or Newcastle, the Australian Reptile Park is a centrepiece attraction of the Central Coast. Look out for Australia’s first “Big Thing” – Ploddy the dinosaur, visible just before the Gosford exit heading north on the M1.
