The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) contribution to making a positive, pivotal change in the travel industry was well recognised by industry professionals who voted for Thailand as the ‘Best Destination – Asia Pacific’ in the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards 2023.
Mrs. Kulpramote Wannalert, TAT Director of Singapore Office, said “The TAT and on behalf of Thailand’s tourism industry is honoured to have yet again earned the confidence among the industry professionals who voted for Thailand. This is testament to the tireless efforts and commitment of the TAT to work together with stakeholders, suppliers, and partners to create and deliver the best possible travel experience for visitors from around the world.”
This is the second time that Thailand was awarded the ‘Best Destination – Asia Pacific’ titled in the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards. The first time was in 2018. The award joins an impressive list of prestigious titles Thailand has been honoured with over the years.
As well as the TAT, two other hotels in Bangkok were also recognised among this year’s 35 award-winning organisations. The Capella Bangkok was named the Best Luxury Hotel – Asia Pacific while the Holiday Inn Bangkok was voted the Best Midscale Hotel – Asia Pacific.
Winners of the Travel Weekly Asia Readers’ Choice Awards 2023 were selected from votes cast by industry professionals from 8 June through 28 July 2023, for extraordinary travel operators and suppliers who have demonstrated innovation, professionalism, and excellence in their respective areas of expertise.
