The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) together with the Designated Area for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA) and Sivatel Bangkok Hotel have won three PATA Gold Awards 2023 for Thailand.
TAT has won a PATA Gold Award in the Travel Photograph category. Under the theme of ‘A Valley in Bloom’, the photograph depicted hues of delicate pink and brilliant white of the Himalayan Cherry Blossoms at the Ang Khang Royal Agricultural Station in Chiang Mai.
DASTA has won a PATA Gold Award in the Culture category. It was recognised for the revitalisation of old Phetchaburi town riverside community through the establishment of cultural community-based tourism.
Sivatel Bangkok Hotel was regarded as a ‘Beacon of Sustainability’ for winning a PATA Gold Award in the Corporate and Social Responsibility category.
The 2023 PATA Grand and Gold Awards recognise the achievements of 23 separate organisations and individuals, including two Grand Awards, and the awards ceremony was presented on 5 October 2023 as part of the PATA Travel Mart 2023 in New Delhi, India.
