The Black Horse |
The Cotswolds covers almost 800 square miles through the five English counties counties of Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire.
The ‘wolds’, rolling hills, offer honey coloured stone villages and market towns along with some of the UK’s most splendid palaces, castles and country houses.
The Cotswolds has more than 3,000 miles of footpaths and bridleways, ancient woodlands and wildflower meadows.
The three Lionhearth properties in its pub collection are :
- The Black Horse. In the village of Salford is this classic British pub with log fire with the adjoining Salford Cottage sleeping two.
- The Swan. The 16th century Swan in Ascott-underWychwood with wooden beams and eight bedrooms.
- The Chequers. This Churchill pub is a gastropub with flagstone floors, scrubbed wooden beams and antique tables.
