Voted among Thailand’s ‘Top 20 Resorts’ in this year’s Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, Meliá Koh Samui is offering a two-hour “Wellbeing Recovery” package at YHI Spa. The package features a “Look Pra Kob” Thai herbal ball compress body massage, an Ayurvedic head massage, a Chakra balance and Tibetan bowl sound healing session, and a Look Pra Kob facial treatment.
The Thai herbal ball compress massage, known as Look Pra Kob, is an ancient therapy that releases deep muscle tension.
The Ayurvedic head massage is based on “marma points” therapy, that focuses on energy points to alter biochemistry. It's believed to have benefits ranging from improving sleep quality and memory to relieving headaches and ringing in the ears.
Chakra balance energy healing and the sound of Tibetan singing bowls adds a spiritual element to the package designed to leave guests feeling emotionally balanced.
The package is rounded out with a unique Look Pra Kob herbal medicine facial treatment that focuses on facial “marma points”, also known as energy points. A warm steam hydrates and softens the skin’s surface, releases bacteria and dirt from the pores, and boosts circulation, promoting a healthy glow.
Priced at THB 2,499++ per person, the two-hour Wellbeing Recovery spa package is available daily from 9am to 8pm until 31 March 2022 at YHI Spa.
Situated on the second floor above the beachfront resort’s main lobby, YHI Spa offers private facilities including two double spa suites that each feature a shower and bath, two single spa suites, an infrared sauna, Thai herbal steam room and hydrotherapy shower. Therapists also offer treatments by the pristine sands and crystal-clear waters of Choeng Mon Beach for guests who prefer the outdoors.
